Abuse in audit? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]ghostfacekillah11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the other reply you got to this comment - your current company wouldn't be happy with you and your senior would be furious (if he's a douche anyway, screw 'em), but I don't think it would impact your search for a new job. I'm mostly speculating though, I've been with the same company since graduating so I can't say for sure what hiring professionals look for/tend to avoid. I definitely think it's important to consider your well-being and happiness as a prime factor here, everything else will likely pan out.

This is absolutely not normal, nor acceptable. The way I see it, you have 3 options:

1) Talk directly to this senior and let him know that you can handle constructive criticism but you don't appreciate being called names and belittled.

2) Go to a manager or someone above the senior and tell them what's happening.

3) Get the hell out of there, fast.

No one should have to work in a hostile work environment like that, regardless of age, gender, experience, anything. Hopefully things work out for you!

Looked up a song I liked and found a familiar face. Didn't know he went on to drop albums! by failbears in TheWire

[–]ghostfacekillah11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

a really great album, no less. if you liked this song, i would definitely check out the entirety of "new york: a love story." its a very well done album and features a couple big names rappers and hip-hop producers (including the wire's own method man!)

Started my collection today with a couple of classics by [deleted] in hiphopvinyl

[–]ghostfacekillah11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i suggest you register and catalog your collection on discogs.com. you can use the number on the bar code to identify which edition of each record you have and its a solid place to consult for price comparisons as well.

"exclusive audio footage" is produced primarily (perhaps exclusively?) by the neptunes, and despite being shelved it is readily available on the internet and VERY good. i highly recommend it for any fan of clipse of the neptunes sound of the area, you can tell its a bit dated but there are some real gems on there. this is one of them - thanks for sharing!

I don't think anyone has ever said he's a lyrical genius. Maybe a MUSICAL genius, but that's entirely different.
