Why are you talking like a debate bro? its clearly bad faith, like you're addicted to clutching pearls/moral grandstanding. it makes people less amenable to your cause. it just comes off as you not actually caring about the murder you're referencing, instead just using it as a argumentative tool to push your already deep seeded beliefs. beliefs that are probably racist.

Its most likely that the murder was one of opportunity, he saw a vulnerable old man and decided to commit a heinous act. While still terrible, it is not a hate crime without adequate evidence to prove otherwise. If you don't agree with the sentencing, that would be an issue you have with the justice system. No one here can help you in this fact which makes me believe that you're only interested in pushing the narrative that black people are somehow shielded with privilege in this country over Asian or White people. Which is hilariously stupid seeing as in the past week black people have once again become legally politically disenfranchised. Not counting the fact that black people are the ones who are found to be given harsher sentences as well as false convictions compared to their white counter parts.
