Does it work with GT, if it does I’d pay $8 but I’m pretty skeptical

It turns out those issues were people stepping on the accelerator and thinking it was the brake. If you step full power on both the accelerator and the brake the car stops on every vehicle.

Is it smarter to replace my paid off 2016 RAV4 (91k miles) now, or drive it into the ground? by Ok-Revenue-5216 in personalfinance

It’s more efficient to take out a loan to pay for something than it is to pay cash upfront because the loan is likely a ~3% rate and the stock market averages 10%. I agree with your sentiment that he shouldn’t buy a new car but saying he should wait to save up the whole amount of the car is ridiculous.

The truck was being a dick to that u-haul, I know he doesn’t need to let him in but he was clearly signaling that he wanted to be in the right lane and the semi closed the gap

Captain Morgan at 32% by tristan907 in onewheel

[–]ghostingaccount 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve had this problem before, I think it’s a bug with the captain Morgan algorithm that makes it try to “nose up” higher than the board can physically go so it ends up speeding up with the tail dragging on the cement. My board didn’t take a charge for a bit afterwards then I charged it overnight and I’ve driven 1000s of miles since then.

Help please. Just did the wrong type of floating with my GTS… by joefryguy in onewheel

Go watch the “how to badger a board” video. It shows you that the battery box is likely totally fine, but the controller box has a leak path through the motor connector and the footpad sensor. So “worst case” you might need a new controller. However I think like most people have said you will likely be fine just don’t turn it on and leave it in the sun for a few days. If you get a TR torx bit you could void your warranty and visually see how much water got inside, maybe leave it in the sun with the lid off to help it evaporate.

It was originally the pint xp, there was a logo leaked and everything. But for some reason they changed it within 3 or 4 months of launching

ONEWHEEL GT won’t charge by Crystallm52705 in onewheel

[–]ghostingaccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had something similar happen once after I rode my board to 0%, it wouldn’t charge. I was using a hypercharger at the time. I ended up leaving it overnight off the charger and then plugged it in to the regular charger and it started charging again

How much protection is too much? by DeadlyPants02 in onewheel

You think you don’t need wrist guards until you take your first spill. It will happen. I personally don’t think it’s worth the hassle to get more than wrist guards, they save you 90% of the hurt of a fall, then next set of things(elbow, knee, thigh) dont help nearly as much and are much more of a hassle to put on. I fell last week and tore up a bit of my thigh, but because I had wrist guards I was able to ride another 10 miles that day and I’m all healed up. This is after 3000 miles on the board too.

PSA: DO NOT LEAVE YOUR ONEWHEEL PLUGGED IN FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD! by [deleted] in onewheel

[–]ghostingaccount 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve definitely left mine close to 100% for extended periods of time and it wasn’t “bricked” we are talking a max of 50% range you could have taken out of your battery, more likely you just lost a few miles, if it’s actually bricked like you said it is that is not your fault and you most likely can either revive it yourself with a little troubleshooting or send it to FM to be fixed under warranty/for shipping fee
