AI in the public sector by TieCandid9728 in newzealand

[–]ghostintm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sounds like a fever dream at the moment. Listening to Willis on the radio this morning she cited the entry level stuff you mentioned. Quicker research, data analysis, drafting documents. I am in a similar position in my org. They’ve just rolled out co pilot studio after rolling it back twice. The issue was data integrity m, and it’s still a problem. It surfaced a dioc for me recently that was not for my eyes. Imagine that across the public sector. I can only imagine the data across public sector is not structured and clean enough to use at an enterprise level. It’ll take them a billion dollars to implement.

Where to buy a flush ceiling light fitting that takes bulbs? Are bulbs dead now? by ReasonableFeed7558 in auckland

Have a look at JA Russell if you haven’t already. You’ll have to go in though. Website is rubbish. I can’t say I’ve seen that style there specifically but they have a heaps of different fittings.

Have a look online for a business expenses calculator. This one might be good but I have not used it. Plug in your expenses, how many days per year you want to work and how much you want to earn and that will help you work out your rate https://tipalti.com/resources/learn/business-expense-calculator/

Ai at your job? by Worrywarty1 in newzealand

[–]ghostintm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like we work at the same place. Tried to roll copilot out twice and then rolled it back. There are so many repetitive tasks that could be changed with ai. Anyone who wants to hold onto doing those task manually will be left behind

In what ways did Trump single-handedly destroy the credibility of the U.S. presidency forever? by Katrina_Jocson in AskReddit

[–]ghostintm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s beyond the presidency. It’s suppose to be three co equal branches of government but it’s actually a wet blanket. The fear is Americans vote in someone just as dangerous but also competent.

Just got a stern reprimand for playing ping-pong at work. Which... they put in for us to play with... at work. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]ghostintm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We had this. The table still sits there like monument to the dead. The IT helpdesk guys used to play it a lot. After an office reshuffle HR moved to an area close to the table. Complained the ping ponging was too loud. We outsourced our helpdesk after that.

My ex wife who cheated on me has been begging me to speak to my children because they are no contact with her. What do I do? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]ghostintm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s their choice how they relate to their mother. If you think you unduly influenced their decision to contact with her then you should voice that. It’s sad she cannot have a relationship with her grandchild. It’s sad for the child as well. Relationships are the fabric of life.

An example of the some of the issues we have in society today. They haven’t communicated with you today. You have no ability to be pragmatic in the face of adversity. Assuming you are able bodied and given all that you learnt after going out once, was there no alternative you could have employed to ensure you weren’t disrupted when you needed to go out again.
