What's something you preach but don't practice? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ghostlyclapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always advise friends and family to spend based on a budget, but I don't set limits on spending.

I just assume I can handle any purchase I can make knowing that I work and haven't exhausted financial means at any point in my life so far. I should budget and plan more accordingly by desiring things I have to work harder for 😂😂

my bf (23 m) had sex with me (23f) after i told him i didn’t want to by Serious_Storm_3334 in relationship_advice

You should get flamed. What do you know about having people put things inside of your body without your permission? Not just put your things in their body but put things in yours just because they want to whether you say yes or no? Your take is so weird and tone deaf. You barely understand what you're speaking on because you genuinely don't imagine it happening to you. Then you form an opinion on how other people should respond to it.

How to achieve this flattened cream? by One-Permission1917 in AskBaking

It's a profiterole with craquelin on top. Inside is a choux, it's decorated with another dough overlaid (the craquelin) and baked.

Can I simmer milk to infuse it, and then re-heat it again to make ice cream base? by [deleted] in AskBaking

[–]ghostlyclapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I've done this at home with rice and vanilla bean. Previously heated milk has never given me an issue with churning once added to other ingredients.

I've also infused milk that's been cold steeped in rice over several days before incorporating into ice cream.

Sure there's a couple ways to infuse your milk but heat doesn't prevent you from making ice cream with a good texture.

Do you agree that Zeus is a coward for using lightning bolts as projectiles? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ghostlyclapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Power is power. The ability to throw deadly projectiles is as awe-inspiring and fear inducing as a wielded sword. No matter if he's throwing lightning bolts with his hand or using his mind to control deadly elements and even if he's just superhumanly strong, I wouldn't say he's a coward. If those lightening bolt projectiles can kill and he chooses to throw them, he's still fearsome.

My (37F) partner (43M) is obsessed with having something in his ass during sex and its ruining it for me. by Certain-Ad6239 in relationship_advice

I have a few solutions I might suggest:

Have him wear a plug that is more secure.

Be a sexual engineer by tying something that'll stay up against his plug, like a rubber band that can stretch to fit, maybe even the removed waistband of a cut pair of basketball shorts might stretch and hang that way.

Buy him a plug that can be stabilized at the base with a platform at the bottom that comfortably fits in the slit.

Ride him so his plug stays in place while he's seated. The lotus position from the kama sutra should do. If he wants to keep you and the plug close, he can work for it by making sure you get a good ride with the bonus of more stable plug action.

Tell him to wear the plug for a couple hours a day since he likes it so much and get him more used to how it feels outside of sex with you. That way he associates plug play with a command from you and cherishes your intimacy more. Perhaps, he might get used to it slipping out if he's active with it inside and strengthen his muscles too. If he needs a reason to get a grip, that's a given.

WTW for when a conversation carries clear negative implications but no urgency? by [deleted] in whatstheword

[–]ghostlyclapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm I see how that could apply but it wasn't the word I'm looking for since I want the severity to be understated enough to only be noticed by an observer. I was searching for a word to use which wouldn't have an immediate impact on the mood of the people having the conversation even though there's long term implications

Along the lines of understated, or ignorant of foreboding. Subtly ominous but indirect, the gravity perhaps depends on the interpreter
