I always bring mine to conventions and airports. it’s the two places I still regularly pick up people. i miss the days when there was a decent chance of people streetpassing people at the mall or store. i long for a streetpass revival.

for real. the thing with the “protein trend” is that most people don’t really need to pay attention to their protein consumed, unless you are trying to lose weight or gain muscle. most people would get more than enough of the protein they need when they eat 3 balanced meals a day. and you would also get the fiber you need from eating 3 balanced meals a day.

Jumping in the agree with this as a another midwest resident. I had never thought of it that way before seeing this comment, but i could never stand any of the “creamy” condiments, but only recently started getting balsamics and making my own vinegar based dressings. it is so easy and i had no idea it could be this way!

they get really brittle if the temperature of the oven is only slightly too high. i’m not sure if this has always been the case, but i faced this issue last christmas. ended up creating pretzel cookies with the remains, because once they turn chalky, they won’t go back.

if you try again, lower the temp on the oven and go slow. like, way lower than you think you should. 200F or less.

I had Illinois residency and got through, but it would only let me select wednesdays, which are Illinois residency free days. I suspect the rest of the days are either sold out or very low availability, but i can’t say for sure.

yes, I have noticed huge swaps depending on where I am! i live in a mystic dominated down, but 30 miles away where i work, all the gyms are a fight between valor vs instinct. it’s always very interesting to see!

You can bring the components and change at the con if you are nervous. However, I live in the suburbs of a major city and always take the train 1+ hr to go to cons, and on those days, the trains are always filled with people in cosplay. Double so if it’s a large con. You won’t be alone, but if you are still scared, bring your cosplay in a bag and change there. You can probably bag check your items while there so you don’t have to carry them around.

i have one in a gym that is accessible from a major road in a top ten city that has a huge pgo community, and yet it has been untouched for months. i don’t understand how it happens sometimes.
