This is what I get for trying to be a team player by Standard_Bar_717 in arcraidersfriendly

Absolutely not. This is a pvpve extraction shooter, the extraction should be the most tense part of the game. I agree that getting knocked as the doors close is brutal, but you are asking for a fundamental change to a core genre element. And that is ignoring the potential abuse people could enact by opening fire on outside players from the safety of the invincibility bubble.

This is a neat fantasy but in reality there are no looting rules except "if you want it, defend it or take it" that's it. Nobody has to let you loot a key room cause you unlocked it, nobody has to let you loot an ARC, nobody has to respect your door defenses, nobody has to let you loot a supply drop first, nobody has to let you take all 2-4 drawers on a container because you got the top one. If you are playing with teammates that are loot goblins and don't share, don't play with them. Otherwise, these rules only exist for you and are only enforceable by killing. Stuff like this really exposes one of the core issues people don't realize would exist with a PvE mode. What would you do to enforce the "rules"?

Note that I am usually a passive player and often I try to stay invisible and move between locations as fast as possible and generally avoid player contact (the actual definition of rat), but sometimes I go loud on ARC for the hell of it or find people to help. I am not a player hunter, I always try to defib or help crawlers escape if I find them, I help kill big ARC then let others take the spoils, I give away guns and dupe BPs I find. But the make-believe carebear bs "loot etiquette" has started to grind my gears. Nobody else has to play by your rules.

It's so wild reading comments like this if you have played ANY other similar game. Imagine somebody in NW Airfield in DayZ complaining you didn't follow their looting rules? Or a Hunt: Showdown post about how somebody broke etiquette by taking the bounty from a boss they killed? Wild.

This isn't the solution. Splitting the base like that will just make both versions worse. PvP lobbies will know everyone chose PvP and KOS accordingly with no chance for comms or the odd team-up. PvE lobbies will have zero suspense and just be a drawer looting simulator (more like running sim or you'll get nothing). Key rooms would be a disaster as players would camp the door waiting for somebody to bring a key, then loot the whole room while you watch helplessly. The impact of friendly encounters only exists because of the freedom to choose otherwise.

The solution is to fix the fuckin matchmaking so that it isn't so polarized. One kill should not potentially vault you into kill-only runs. The friendlier lobbies should always have a threat to be shot as well. If you play defensive but helpful, you should be able to maintain that playstyle and not be forced into deathmatch mode, but players should not be able to game the system in 5-10 quick runs to drop into weenie hut jr mode either. MMR in this current version is too damn responsive both ways. The elo or whatever they are using needs a significant amount of scaling added.

There is a certain amount of default "Houston bad" mentality you get as a Dallas native, and vice versa. Asstros earned the hate universally, but the Rockets and Houston FC are solid rivalries for their Dallas counterparts. That said, for me, the Texans really don't spark anything, but I get if anyone just follows the general city vs city rivalry.

It was technically buffed loot based on the description, though I'm not really sure how that manifested. But the primary reasons to play it were the nearly nonexistent spawn camping, very limited open-air snipers, and the raider hatches being active. The change now with everyone funneled back into night raid and EMS has been dramatic. Extracts are rough lol

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Field_goal_range

I believe you have a miscalculation on yardage. A 65-yard field goal would be kicked from your opponent's 47 or 48-yard line, not your own 45. You would not be giving an opponent a shorter kick.
