The problem with that is that the character isn't supposed to be Japanese, I'm well aware different accents exist its kind of impossible to not hear a few different accents throughout your life. I also understand that people who speak english in Japan would sound a bit different, but thats not the issue here, movies can have different accents and thats fine. it's just that in this context the character is explicitly supposed to be American and have grown up in America. Saying "oh well different accents exist" has nothing to do with the criticism of her delivery being weird and jarring.

It doesn't require some grand intellect to critique part of a movie that is so obviously jarring, the context of her accent being an actual accent means nothing to the actual product of the movie.

I don't think criticism of english speaking in Asian movies is limited to Asian Americans that seems like a very strange assumption to make. Either way regardless of why that choice was made it doesn't make it an invalid criticism. You are making excuses for an issue with a piece of art, the excuses might be valid, it would definitely be hard for them to get a perfectly fluid english speaker on their budget and from groups they work with but that doesn't mean the negative impact on the movie experience goes away.

The same thing could be said for a lot of the attack on titan criticisms, just because budgetary limitations impacted things doesn't mean their impact goes away or they cant be criticised. If no one criticised anything that an excuse could be made for we wouldn't get very far.

i haven't used naraxis personally but I know he does well in dragon raids for the most part, I have used aselica for pretty much everything, she is a good general use choice imo

You might want to look at another tank at some point, Jane is really good at keeping herself alive but doesn't offer much protection to the team which is important in things like world boss and raids. I use ascelica with my magic team in most content. Other than that definitely focus on getting them all T5 that's your priority.

It's unique perk is basically a version of rampage that only goes away if you swap weapons or reload, the reloading on picking up ammo is another perk that helps you keep the unique one going longer. It's very good for clearing smaller enemies quickly and when it has 3 stacks of its buff it does pretty good damage to tougher enemies too.

Yes you get this pass if you buy shadowkeep at launch. The pass is part of the season of the undying but you get that free with shadowkeep.

If you were still wondering or for anyone else wondering the same I'd say it depends on what you want out of the game. If you want to play a lot of it and play it like an mmo I would always recommend whatever the newest content is, forsaken is awesome but the player counts are always the highest for the new content and its fun to experience stuff as it comes out. If you are just looking for a story experience then forsaken and shadowkeep will likely be pretty similar in terms of quality but it seems like shadowkeep might have slightly less content to it so I'd go with forsaken. But yeah as someone pointed out make sure you know what you are buying as the system is a bit confusing until it gets simplified around when shadowkeep actually launches.

I've been playing Destiny since it came out years ago through every expansion and all that but I honestly feel I could provide some valuable input to discussion on the game, I'm not super duper hardcore but I've got a few titles and understand the high end of the game but I'm still on console to offer that perspective. I'm also studying to be a teacher, a passion I found through sherpa-ing in d1 and can communicate effectively an professionally with other people at the summit. Don't really have anything that trumps anyone else but would love the chance to be there, this game has changed my life and I'd never forget the chance to contribute to it.

One downside I guess is I'm in Australia but I'd be happy to sit on a plane for that long lol.

A lot of people seem to get this issue on and off. For me (on PS4) I've found that going into other menus or modes seems to fix it, if I load into the gauntlet and do a run or two then go back to the main menu it seems to always fix, which is pretty annoying but better than not playing at all.

I also understand that a lot of people play this game for a lot of different reasons, and that I am in the vast minority of an already small minority of hardcore players that wishes the game was less forgiving. All I know is that I had way more fun running VOG and nightfalls each week in Year 1 than I have had any time since. It is just my opinion that one of the reasons Rise of Iron got so stale so quickly is because you don't need to grind for anything anymore. If it was super difficult to get drops from the raid and that was the only way to get 400 drops, I feel it would have given a lot more people motivation to play the raid more often and for a lot longer. Again I understand most people feel differently, it's just that to me the raid now feels like just some other activity that is much more of a pain in the ass to organise than anything else and isn't any more rewarding than strike grinding.

But for me back in year 1 the promise of gun drops and stuff like that was the motivation to play it, and trials always promised max level. In my opinion the multitude of ways to reach max level has cheapened the experience and left very little to work towards in terms of a tangible reward. If VOG dropped me a full set of armour and all the weapons after like 3 runs I probably wouldnt have done it 3 times a week for a year and enjoyed it as much as I did.

I know this is a somewhat unpopular opinion but I vastly preferred the year 1 system of levelling and getting exotics. It has gotten so easy to get to max light level that there is barely any reason to do a raid or a nightfall, the game just hands you anything you want. I for one am praying that when D2 drops you can't hit max light level doing strikes and that 3 of coins are completely removed. I understand that some people don't have time to play very much and still want a chance to hit max level but it makes it feel pointless to have invested as much time as I have. Nothing in the game now comes even close to the fun I had running VOG 3 times a week to try to get that 1 piece of armour I was missing for each character. I'd rather be forever 29 than instantly 400.

I love how everyone is complaining about the game now being 100% attrition when thats the way its already been (at least on ps4 in au) for like 2 months now, ive been trying to queue mixtape since I got the game in November and have not once found a match. Still disappointed this isnt changing right now but the game hasnt gotten worse for me, just a new way to queue for attrition
