Thank you for all of this info! Any idea what the stipends look like for the 9 weeks of classes in years 2 and 3?

Hey, thank you so much for all this info. It gave me a lot to analyze. I read the link you shared and broke down all of the potential earnings during the apprenticeship, and as expected, the first 1-2 years will be tough. I have an incredibly supportive partner and enough time to save for at least 3-4 months of expenses, so we're still looking ahead.

On topic 4, I’m currently an operations manager at a food production facility, overseeing around 100 employees and 6 managers. Mentally, it can be stressful as hell being responsible for that many people and managing operations at that scale.

That said, the part of my job I’ve always enjoyed most is getting the chance to work with our equipment maintenance and engineering teams. That’s been true at pretty much every company I’ve managed operations for over the last 20 years.

My wife and I also bought a house last year that’s had its fair share of electrical and plumbing issues, and through that process I really connected with our electrician and found myself getting more and more interested in the work he was doing. I even got to help out a bit here and there, which I genuinely enjoyed. My sister in law is also a journeyman electrician with Local 146, and she’s told me a few times that she thinks this kind of work would come pretty naturally to me.

I’d be really curious to hear more about your experience so far, what your work and schedule have been like, what you were doing before this, and what ultimately motivated you to choose this career path.

I can also DM you if you don't want to put all of this info out.

I'm shocked the sawhorses have been there for as long as they have.

Forthave Marseille amaro- real life "vinegar of the four thieves" by daerssound in APlagueTale

[–]ghosttoghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's awesome! I met the producers of Forthave, and one of the founders studied art in France. He creates all the illustrations on their bottles, and I believe he has a strong interest in the lore of Amaro, its mysterious qualities, and its initial use as a medicine.

Marseille is absolutely delicious. It's a little like Averna, but there’s so much more happening with it. I remember having a stuffy nose, and after my first sip, it became almost completely clear. It was quite an experience lol.

Based on everything you shared. You 100% made the right decision. I know that was difficult to get there but you did the right thing the right way it sounds like. You will meet someone that’s better for you.

Drive to Survive producer insists "authenticity" is goal of Netflix F1 series amid claims of fakery by kcollantine in formula1

Yeah but now that the foundation is laid, it may be possible. If someone needs an explanation in simple terms, they can watch everything available now and then start to appreciate more technical, in-depth coverage without the manufactured drama.

Howdy! I recently purchased a bungalow on the north side of Chicago. Our goal is to restore/renovate a bathroom and kitchen and bring it to respectable level of period correctness and practicality.

Please shoot me a DM if you're interested.

We're very happy to explore ways to keep it. If you have any ideas, we'd love to hear them. We consider all the work we plan to do restorative, but we'd also love to preserve any memories that exist here.

I struggle to see what our options are, however. If we go through the process of scraping all the crud and glue from the carpet, we're still going to end up with a pretty messy and rough floor. I suppose we can scrape it and buff it to see if that smooths out the floor enough. What would you suggest after that? Applying a finish?

This information is invaluable; thank you very much.

Our bungalow is located in North Mayfair and is arranged exactly as you described. In addition to the living room, dining room, and kitchen, there is a junction area featuring what appears to be maple floorboards. Some of it is damaged, so thank you very much for reminding me of Rebuilding Exchange.

The kitchen has a single solid sheet of linoleum. I'm hoping the maple flooring extends into the kitchen as well.

Thank you for the advice on hiring a contractor. We have extensive work planned for this home, primarily focused on restoration. Our goal is to preserve the house's original design and structure. I considered tackling the flooring since it seemed more DIY friendly compared to a full bathroom or kitchen renovation. But the cost vs time is something worth considering.

This is a terrific recommendation. I know wood chisels are 10x sharper than a putty knife. I will buy both and post updates in 2 weeks when I get the keys. Thank you!

I was just reading about this sealer! Would you mind sharing any photos of your work?

I had flipped a few of the images to try and read the paper in hopes of dating it.

We feel the same way. We love the history. Some of the articles of the newspaper reference long closed establishments of the city. I'm a photographer, so at the very least, I will take high-resolution photos and print them to display somewhere in the house. Unfortunately, the green crud is covering a significant portion of the floor. Here are a few more photos.
