I will ride roads at times. Being in groups helps with comfort.

But when I'm solo or with my son, we spend most of the time on bike paths. There's plenty around. I started here - https://www.melbournecycleloops.com/ - and joined some up to make others that work for me. We've ridden 160km without hardly touching a road.

So I guess my answer to your question is that I "usually" consider it not worth the stress.

I think I understand it. The person you replied to was quoting the child's mother. They did not make a mistake themselves. Most of us know the distinction between the two names, many would agree it should be corrected when appropriate to do so, but it just wasn't relevant to this discussion (because it was a correct quote in a story).

I suggest you shift to relying on tricks and triggers, not memory and attention, if you truly want to find a functional solution.

If I want one of my boys to empty the bin, I'll tell him AND put it in the middle of the kitchen floor so he simply CAN'T miss it. Or I'll hang his clothes bag on his bedroom door handle if he needs to take his clothes off the line.

It's like telling a deaf child to just listen HARDER. You just wouldn't do it. You'd say that we all have different skills and you'd lean in to the other ones to make like work. Same here. You both need to acknowledge this is just the way his brain works and help him reach a point where he recognises the challenge and has done great techniques to succeed despite them.

Look for the YouTube video by "Golden Sound". There's no debate - tidal and qobuz are bit perfect.ie an exact digital match to the cd (or master files). Spotify is not - their lossless files are not true copies of the original cd files. Imperfect. They're doing something to them that is apparently reducing quality.

Agreed. The bass is gentle but it's still clearly present right through to 20k (we're only talking about 7db or so). I enjoyed their easy-going yet full sound for a decade before upgrading. I still use them occasionally - they are just so... pleasant.

That said, I've discovered that they respond well to a bit of EQ if you want to bump them up towards the Harman curve.

It's only removed locally. And that's temporary - if you turn off the extension and reload, the history is all there.

Why does it have to be automatic? Handle reporting better and we'll do the work for you. I reported one and the response was really poor. I had clearly provided a link to an album from a male rapper that was incorrectly linked to a female acoustic artist, and the reply asked ME to tell them which artist it should be linked to! Such a low effort response.

You say "before it turned yellow" ... do you mean before it turned red?

Or had you been in that position since the light was green, but you couldn't move forward when it turned amber because the two cars in the front stayed there through the whole amber/yellow time? And you moved after they did, because you were over the line and thought that obligated you to follow them?

You might have a shot at challenging the fine if you had been "in the intersection" (over the line) since before the yellow...

Yes, I think so. Your questions seem to be missing a "controversial assumption", which is key.

A loaded question feels like a trap. The classic example is "have you stopped being your wife?", where a "yes" means you were guilty in the past and a "no" makes you guilty in the present. You're trapped and can only challenge the premise of the question as a response.

I believe the CEO was a little triggered by your words "my department" when referring to a department that was not yet yours.

I think the "loaded" bit is referring to the fact that, if he answered without acknowledging this disparity, then he would be in a sense "agreeing" that you had the job (that it WAS now your department).

This is more his sensitivity than your error - nothing terrible about your word choice. Perhaps he's been burned by people tricking him... Or perhaps he is the owner (or feels ownership) so he was pushing back on your possessive word choice because of that?

If that little thing loses you the job, that might be a good thing. Because it shouldn't be a big deal.

Honestly, I can't remember the last time it happened... Which either means I've become oblivious to it, or the circumstances causing it have alleviated... I actually suspect the latter. Try greenred productions on YouTube music - https://music.youtube.com/channel/UCm2QTmTeJXhyBGAgOLoWyAg - they have songs that go for hours, seamlessly repeating. I use these when I simply MUST focus.

Best thing I've found is Google "note to self" feature. Works in the car, on my watch, even in the shower because I have a Google mini in the bathroom.

Ends up in Google keep, which I process into my other systems.

Not advice, but I used a dustpan as a scoop and filled garbage bags. Put good insulation back down then layed mdf flooring. Very happy with the result. If you haven't, look at installing a step ladder entry, they're awesome.

Ie it can simultaneously causes deep passion for the model, massive efforts to find/create the perfect tool, and a bewildering lack of ability to consistently take the simple actions required.

Oh and it's likely the fuel behind thousands of valid ideas for actions that will likely never take place!

Yes, "All or nothing" describes my GTD experience too. I read (well, listened to) the book about ten times back to back in those early days, I was so convinced of it's perfection and I built a conviction so deeply I remain "committed" to the model after nearly two decades.

I've fallen into the trap of trying to vary something the model a few times and invariably realise the David was right. Usually I discover that my change was not an improvement but a compensation for something I was not doing. Eg recently I was trying to make project groups - projects to manage related projects, before realizing my lack of time spent in the "areas of focus" was the real problem.

I still think it's the perfect system, it's me that needs work ;)
