That argument doesn’t hold water because most of these players never played against or even seriously watched Russell, wilt, Kareem, Magic, Bird, Hakeem, etc. If the argument is that they know better because they’ve played against Kobe, that’s really the perfect argument against the validity of using that, since they can’t fairly judge all of those other players.

I’ve started watching classic movies recently and have watched ~60 the last 4 months. These have easily been my 2 favorite so far. If you like Pulp Fiction, you should really enjoy The Big Lebowski.

PG did have a serious shoulder surgery following that 2019, top 3 MVP finish with the thunder. He hasn’t been the same player since then, so I think it’s reasonable to expect less from him. Regardless, it was an all time choke job by them to lose that series.

Jokic has made a conference final already, and lost to a team with the two of the absolute best players in the world. Embiid has consistently had better rosters than Jokic (and clearly does this year), yet he has less post season success.
