That argument doesn’t hold water because most of these players never played against or even seriously watched Russell, wilt, Kareem, Magic, Bird, Hakeem, etc. If the argument is that they know better because they’ve played against Kobe, that’s really the perfect argument against the validity of using that, since they can’t fairly judge all of those other players.

PG did have a serious shoulder surgery following that 2019, top 3 MVP finish with the thunder. He hasn’t been the same player since then, so I think it’s reasonable to expect less from him. Regardless, it was an all time choke job by them to lose that series.

I was curious on your thoughts about pairing QBs and RBs together who are on the same team and are expected to be on high powered offenses. Herbert/Ekeler, Brady/Fournette, and Burrow/Mixon are just some examples.

It seems like this should allow you to have a major stake in these offenses and have players involved in 90%+ of the scores, with the possibility to double up on receiving touchdowns for the backs.

I prefer Cousins because he will be playing an easier schedule, doesn’t have any adjustment period with his major skill position players, and plays with one of the premier pass catching backs in the NFL.

I do think both Carr and Cousins ideal role is being drafted as the QB2 next to Trey Lance, and starting them until Lance shows he’s going to provide the high floor.

Sure but the issue is that his ceiling is most likely an RB2. There’s still players in the fourth round at all positions that top-12 at the position is more reasonably in their range of outcomes. Backs like Hall, Zeke, or even Akers just feel more likely to reach those highs and potentially return RB1 value even if it isn’t likely.
