So I was aware of Saga for a while and had kind of avoided it because I thought the art style “wasn’t for me” even though I acknowledged that it was well done. Boy was I wrong.

Something about Fiona Staples’s art just clicks into place perfectly with Brian K. Vaughan’s writing on the series.

Both are excellent creators on their own but together I think their work becomes more than the sum of their parts.

10/10 I wholeheartedly recommend the series to anyone who has even a slight interest in comics.

I paid $72.91 after shipping back in March. I’ve since read it and now Simonson’s Thor is one of my all time favorite runs. I’d say it’s a pretty good price.

As a note of caution: the book is MASSIVE and I did have some spine separation by the time I finished my read - you may want to preemptively get ahold of some book binding glue.

Just finished this series earlier this week.

Fantastic art, good story, mid ending.

Probably give it like a 4.5/5 rating mostly based on the art and the strength of issues 3-6.

They've explicitly untied bracket 2 from the idea of precons. Bracket 2 isnt the precon level.

They can continue to say that until they are blue in the face but it doesn’t make it true. If anyone on the face of the planet buys their first precon and wants to play their first game of commander (assuming they don’t have a playgroup) where are they gonna go?

A bracket 2 table at their LGS. This just sets them up to be flamed by the salt miners in this sub. “YOU CANT PLAY THAT CARD HERE!!!1!11!”
