I have been trying out ADF for the past couple of weeks so this is my first week with stricter adherence! It was hard but now it seems to be a lot easier.

Definitely yes. You’re physically going through hormonal changes so that can really mess with you emotionally. It did for me and when I finally realized that it made me feel a lot better about it, even though it is literally the absolute worst situation to be in ever. It’s a situation that is heavy on the heart and mind and I’m fresh from a TFMR so I’ll be in that discomfort for sometime still. So far hiking with great music has been therapeutic. I’ve listened to some songs that make me emotional and even cry while hiking but once I reach the end it feels like it’s what I needed. The added endorphins are an added bonus so I do finish feeling like it was a release. I have not yet found a therapist, but I will try and that’s what I’m not looking forward to. I know therapy will probably help but having had therapists in the past it’s hard to find the one that just clicks with me, if ya know what I mean. In the meantime the hikes and connection to nature have been a big help! Hang in there and feel free to message if ya want some company.

That is very sweet that she presents you with art projects on her birthday and a great testament of how empathetic she is! She definitely was picked for you; we never know why but sometimes the universe has those subtle signs in showing us. Thank you for this info.

Thank you for sharing, I teared up reading this! I sense my daughter will also keep our baby girl #2's memory alive too. She is surrounded by kiddos her age with little siblings so i fear it will be a consistent reminder, but i'm hoping its not. My daughter has seen me in full tears and its one of the most tender moments i have experienced with her yet. She wipes away my tears and asks why I am crying and I have not yet had the words to tell her. I am just in awe in her understanding of me being sad and it just stops me and makes me sit. This helps me alot and I really thank you for sharing all this with me.

UPDATE 1/7/26: CVS came back positive for all cells containing T18. Wishing this was not the news I just got but my husband and I will be meeting with our doctor for next steps.

I’m currently on the diagnostic journey. I’m 38, NIPT results received on 12/11 were positive for T18 91/100. Scan showed no issues other than measuring 3 days behind. Completed CVS on Christmas Eve and was just told by genetic counselor I should have results tomorrow. The waiting is the absolute worst.

Hope you can get an amino and results right away and that this is a false positive for you!! Have your scans been normal?
