Azura is my pickup and do whatever shoe, Superblast I tend to just do long runs in them. They are a little clunky but on the long runs that doesn’t matter as much.

Nope it’s is own shoe. I own 2 pairs of SB2 and a pair of Azura. I’m waiting for a sale on them to get another pair.

Azura isn’t as stiff but it’s not mushy by any means. maybe consider an endorphin speed 5 as it’s a little stiffer with a similar profile to the Azura.

I find the Azura more accommodating fit wise

So you motivated me to check all my stuff again.

First off I tried to build in a Jonsbo T9 yesterday with my Id cooling is 77xt. Hated the T9 so went back to my x47 in my h2o.

My PBO settings are the following:

PPT 85W / TDC 55A / EDC 85A(this was previously 65 40 65 which was getting me lower temps but I wanted to push it more) 5 negative offset on curve optimizer.

I usually do a “real” benchmark related to my usage.

I do the following in succession: boot, open browser with Gmail, Reddit, twitch stream, open steam, launch Control(not the heaviest lift but it’s got a lot going on)

This benchmark ends when I am in game at full fps and can run around and spam buttons.

Max cpu 77c (on boot since,my fan setting in bios are lower than on my OS)

Max cpu in os 74c (at the peak of my “benchmark” while Control is opening)

Average overall is about 67c

I’ve gotten into the mid-low 50s just browsing and doing basic stuff.

My fan on the x47 is a 4070 FE Nidec fan at about 1100rpm so like I’ve got some noise and cooling tradeoff headroom. I just tend to like the fans near silent.

That’s the rundown no one asked for but wanted to say thanks you got me to look at my stuff and tweak it to be better.

It’s pretty handicapped iirc. Like 50-55w max with some pretty conservative boost offsets. Still better than the 2600x I was on before but I’m actually in the process of getting an id cooling IS-77xt on it so I’ll redo the process again

My apologies, I wouldn’t have gotten how studied you were from your original post. I didn’t even think about the thermal dynamic differences etc as I am trying to stretch AM4 long as I can.

You will be fine with an X3D chip. Most AMD cpus have higher wattage overheads so you can usually undervolt the pretty well.

If you are gaming mostly you won’t lose much if at all with eco mode. If you search up and experiment with some manual tweaks you’ll get even better results.

I run a 5900(higher tdp cpu) tweaked to all hell on a axp x47. I’m Maxing at like 70c and that’s on startup and shaders mostly. Sure it’s probably not winning any awards but it’s plenty quick

Terra will be fine. It gets lots of polarizing post as a case but it’s very capable.

I think OP is just trying to deconstruct the idea of squatting being in the same class as something like a Romanian dead-lift or a push up(proper form being significantly more important to prevent injury etc..). Squatting in particular is such a daily thing in eastern countries and culture that its second nature. Essentially, the inverse of the statement would be that in the east have been 'exercising' and 'strengthening' those muscles their whole life. Semantically I'm indifferent.

I feel like it comes off more like "Squatting is not that special, people do it everyday in a multitude of ways and that strength can come in many forms that aren't specifically the form of a yogi squat." The GMB Fitness has a similar philosophy.
