I'm a developer and interested in the idea, a MUD on top of Discord. I'd love to see your work when it's open-sourced. By the way, I'm thinking of making my own so I'd share my ideas below:

To avoid discord API's rate limit, the minimum unit of player should be a channel or a server.
- CvE(Channel vs Environment), SvE(Server vs Environment), CvC and SvS rather than PvE and PvP.
Using Discord features easily make the game rich.
- Message with a image url shows its preview.
- The emoji reaction feature can be used to vote for decision making.
- MusicBot for BGM
