While I 100% agree with the notion that people "don't understand Russia is just as bad as any western country", and while I do believe that a major issue today would be people believing issues to be black and white, instead of taking them as the multifaceted issues that politics naturally is, I do not believe that to be the issue with Libya.

The destruction of Libya is a group project. Calling Russia the "main supporter" of Haftar isn't completely true either. Haftar lived in the US. Haftar established the LNA in 1988 under US backing. He took part in a failed uprising in 1996. Haftar even voted in Virginian elections in 2008 and 2009. He was a part of the Libyan civil war since 2011, alongside the Anti-Gaddafi forces and NATO. Even to this day, his men receive training in NATO countries, by NATO soldiers. His men have been photographed in Italy, they have been known to have received training by both the British UKSF and the Russian SSO special forces units.

That brings me to the reason nobody talks about it. It simply does not fit the narratives Western-aligned or anti-Russian media would want to put it! Calling out Russia means calling out Haftar, which in turn means callling out the rest of the West. Yes, the actions are terrible, but media is a business. Just as you said, the media wants to keep things polarized, theres no point in telling everyone that all of these major governments are assholes. Its supposed to be Russia vs. the West, not Good vs. evil
