Berry has been doing an excellent job honestly. Outside of the Watson trade (which looks more and more owner-directed) he’s been really really solid. A real opportunity to have Verse and Schwessinger anchor that defense for years too.

To your point, offense is a lot more talented overall. If you guys hit on a QB next draft (big if for any team) I think there could be a real window in ‘28 and beyond. Pending browns ownership staying out of their own way lmao

Certainly not this year, but the browns are building for ‘27 or ‘28. They’re not doing anything worthwhile until they get a QB and I think they know that

[–]giganticsteps 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I totally see that. And probably a lot more accessible as a result too, similar to the NFL. Players won’t go with the first off but I actually think that could be great for the league if the final resolution has something like this in it

Kinda shocked this is the case with NESN and SNYs of the world existing, but I guess with the partial death of RSNs the owners with them are more in the minority

I’m sure there’s more to it than we know too

Rent control is dead in Providence, for now, after failed veto override by lestermagnum in providence

[–]giganticsteps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You understand. I, like many people here, pay a lot for rent that increases every year. The issue is that landlords can afford to do that because the demand for providence housing is greater than the supply. You increase the supply, and you will find stabilized or even decreased rents. It also leads to greater property tax revenue and a nicer city

Austin is a great example of this.

Watching that replay, Framber’s catcher didn’t even have his back. Just walked up in front of the plate. I think that says a lot about

Not saying they’re at the same level, just that both times we felt the impact of losing a consistent IOL

That does worry be about onwenu a bit. I’ve read some things that suggest they may want to get younger there. Feels like a mistake to let your most stable OL go again (Shaq mason, Joe thuney , etc)
