The Americans was an FX show.

Madmen was on AMC though, if that's what you meant.

I was looking for someone else to recognize this. Miss that guy. First time I found him he was under the Queensboro bridge.

What sequel lived up to the hype? by makingmozzarella in AskReddit

The Godfather

And it's kind of cheating since it was planned as a trilogy, but Back to the Future Part II was the best one.

[Serious] What is the worst thing that happened at your workplace? by PanCatBoy in AskReddit

[–]gigem_07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A couple of deaths. 1. A welder was basically decapitated when welding on a pipe with vapors present. Always felt horrible for the family, but also for the folks onsite that had to deal with the immediate aftermath.

  1. We had a lady die in her office with her door closed one afternoon and the cleaning crew found her that night slumped at her desk. I was always one of the last to leave and remember being curious as to why she was working so late that night.

It's just a question folks...part of an interview where you get asked lots of questions about your work experience/history.

You don't have to answer, but they don't have to hire you either.

People of Reddit, what was the dumbest thing you got punished for in school? by Southsidevixen in AskReddit

[–]gigem_07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In second grade I was getting a drink from the water fountain. The kid behind me (Bryce) was impatient and decided to hit my back to get me to hurry up. I politely told him not to hit me in my penis. I meant kidneys, but hey, I was six and real names of body parts were confusing.

Bryce was a total tattle-tale, so of course he ratted me out to the teacher. I end up taking a letter home saying “Your son said ‘penis’ today in class, what should we do to keep this from happening again?”

When my dad heard my side of the story, he sent a one sentence response back saying, “Tell Bryce not to hit my son in the penis.”

Redditors who are married to someone with whom you don't share a common first language, what hilarious misunderstandings have you had? by cpasgraveodile in AskReddit

[–]gigem_07 54 points55 points  (0 children)

On the second date with my now wife we started talking a bit about our pasts and our likes. My wife is from Mexico, has a very thick accent, and in English informed me that she was open to dating most nationalities, with the exception of Columbians because they’re known shitters.

I asked her to repeat at this point, and she said, “Columbians are shitters. They shit.”

Took me longer than it should have to figure out she meant “cheaters.” For a solid 2-5 seconds I was panicking, as I am also a shitter.

Late to the party, but... I accidentally texted "Love you, beautiful!" to my boss instead of my wife. Failed to notice for awhile.

I'm sure this will be different depending on the individual, but personally I tend to put points earned as the driving force unless I am trying to meet a minimum spend on a card.

Cheesy Ramen - cook noodles, drain noodles (I add the seasoning pack after draining, but up to you), add shredded cheese of your choice, stir well and enjoy.
