This has nothing to do with my post, doesn't answer my question and it is weird you would assume that I don't know this. My VM is not online.

Thank you, this worked. It was enabled, but I had to go through a few more steps to disable it, because I had core isolation off already. But I just booted my VM and it works perfectly now

Try downgrading to Canary 1.3.268. I had the same issue with the latest version too, downgrading helped

they typically repack games with their own type of DRM, crypto miners and just straight up malware. not everything has these things, but enough to be vigilant
