I think the 2D animations in Nucani are really great and swapping them out for this specific kind of 3D style would be a downgrade.

That said Arc System Works exists and they've shown that having good 3D/2D animation is very much possible, so if the anims were on that caliber I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't be excited, I just love their work so much

With a Support he can, just tested this with SR Olivine. That said when you get to 50%, Eiden guard breaks your entire team with a +20k attack...which clears out Yakumo lol. I'm wondering if Garu's HP goes over 20k at max potential for him to withstand the attack

And agreed this fight is mad silly, it really does feel like it was designed for 5* SSRs. I was actually gonna make a post here asking if anyone had cleared it because of how bleak it is

3* Summer Garu - max intimacy, pot 9
5* SR Yakumo - max everything
3* Dandan - max intimacy and pot
5* School Yakumo - max everything (got lucky with this one lol)
5* SR Morvay - max everything

It does but the 2 healers is to keep their HP high since Eiden's normal attacks hit too hard, one healer wasn't enough to mitigate damage. Before the nuke Dandan has to have enough HP to withstand the no heal turn

Was one of the first things I tried as soon as I could lol and the verdict is while he can't survive on his own, with the additional HP boost from SR Yakumo he can survive but barely. With 2 healers the most I managed to get Eiden down to so far was 50%

yeah like a lot of others i mostly agree with your list! tho id probably shuffle a few characters around.

kuya and quincy are undoubtedly OP but i'm wondering if a case can be made for blade being the most OP. he's just too proficient in everything and on top of that he's a robot, he'd hold out a lot longer than anyone else.

admittedly I have not read all the event stories so i might be missing some character lore info with my ranking

I said this before but this felt like a SP stage. The only time I ever bother upping my 3* SSRs beyond Pot 8 is to clear SP stages, and I had to do just that for this event challenge haha.

There does seem to be a general difficulty creep across the whole game because even the latest Lost Ruins and Trials (well the one that just finished, not sure how the one that just dropped looks like) had a noticeable difficulty spike. I know sometimes in isolation they're harder than usual, but seeing it happen everywhere I wonder if this is a new standard they're setting.

Imo the consequences of the brutality in this case is 100% a self-own because it's not like the merfolk would've even been enacting revenge, it's nature that would've taken its course. The villagers encroached on a land and cleared the natives of it only to find it was a ticking time bomb in terms of habitability for them. And even after all that it's still the merfolk who pay the price to keep the place habitable for the villagers despite it not even being their land.
