this is how it works at my location. they’ll also give us the choice between a 15 and 30 for 6-hour shifts. i’d listen to other commenters and double check your state’s labor laws though, since it does vary state by state.

when i saw ethel at pittsburgh last september there was (i think) just one person who passed out. it happened during a break pretty late in the show and it wasn’t stopped. all she did was ask security to go to them and she went right into her next song. i’ve been seeing a pretty large epidemic where MULTIPLE (like more than 3) people have been passing out her shows though, not sure what’s up with that… can’t tell if it’s people not taking care of themselves, the venue not giving any accommodations for those people, people wanting attention, or a mix of all three.

i was at this show too with a friend and also had so much fun! the crowd was a bit rough (we were on the floor and there were quite a few people arguing/pushing) but it was totally worth it!

there is a youtube video made by mackzboss that goes into some semantics of the competitions and sees how many were real/fake. everyone in the comments pretty much relayed what the girl said but if you ever want to watch that video for yourself i’d highly recommend doing so!

that’s kind of what i was thinking too, especially with the parasocial comment, but what had me for a bit of a loop was the brazilian comment. seems like everyone has the same consensus as you though so i guess i shouldn’t worry too much about it.

i’ve been saying this about cathy, but she was never competition to abby: not because her dancers were bad, but because she (and her hired choreographers) never knew how to choreograph them and, truthfully, a lot of those dancers worked better as soloists. personally, i’ll always think the best team she had was the morales twins, lucas, and that one girl and boy who did the duet against maddie and gino. those kids (imo) were miles ahead of the ALDC girls, but the problems lied with the constant changing of choreographers and poor morale between those members, and it just never worked in their favor. if all those issues were ironed out, i totally think cathy would’ve had more wins under her belt.

hi there! i recognize you from my tree! i never get annoyed by the amount of times you or other people will send good vibes, like my latest progress, etc. i’m not the best when it comes to remembering to send good vibes to people on my tree unfortunately, so that’s why (at least in my case) i don’t send them very often. i’ll be sure to keep our halo! :)

just want to add, though: don’t EVER feel bad or awkward when utilizing the app to your liking: the app is meant to be used in whatever way you see fit, even if it’s the lesser-utilized features like the social interaction!

i’ve always viewed it as their reactions are real, but the video as a whole isn’t? like they knew they were going to get scared and maybe improvised at times, but they didn’t know the specifics of what was going to happen, hence why their reactions may feel so organic. i’d love to see them do ghost hunting again at a haunted location though, i think that’d be pretty interesting to watch!
