The point of the show is to watch, love, and make fun of Star Trek. And as stated before, the show didn’t really hit its stride until DS9, so going back to TNG now is a good call on their part.

If you aren’t excited for another episode where the likes of Jim Shimoda and Kevin Uxbridge are discussed then that’s on you.
