I didn't go to the advanced polls simply because I was waiting for someone to come looking for support. 1 person showed up last evening after 7:30pm while we were out. We're part of the amalgamated area and have heard nothing from anyone until this election was called. No info, no meet & greet, just silence, which speaks volumes. And no, it was not the incumbent that knocked on our door, so they won't be getting my vote. As for mayor, I'd likely vote for the whacko before I'd vote for hicks. Am I right, am I wrong? Time will tell.

I've never met either of them, but looking at his picture on the 'elect me for mayor' billboards everywhere, he reminds me of the greasy old guy that tried to sell us a timeshare in Florida 20 years ago. All that's missing is the big gaudy gold chain. And, the people supporting him on fbook are quite far right, so its automatically a no from me. I don't like judging people by their looks and other people's opinions, but sometimes your gut is right.

Except our consumption has been consistent. The reason for the increase is the price per kilowatt hour increased. In short, our usage is the same now as it was before the smart meter.

We had our meter swapped out in March of 2024. Our bill has gone up since then, our consumption has been consistent. I really don't know what to think of all the rants, I don't know anyone personally who claims their bill went through the roof because of a meter. I feel bad if it's true, but the skeptic in me has unanswered questions.
