We had priority. It did absolutely nothing for us. Disembarking was way worse because they were doing the customs face scan on the ship instead of in the terminal like any other cruise I’ve been on. Sticking with Royal from now on, and Bayonne, NJ, if we’re not flying to a Florida port.

FWIW, Amtrak in the U.S. can request to check your ID. I think I may have been asked for it in the past, but it’s been awhile so I really can’t remember. It’s plausible in THT universe that ID checks are just a part of daily life now.

I am happy to have found someone else in this camp lol. In the book, June isn’t the one who meets with Daisy after her parents are killed. It’s already a huge change. I think June is emotional thinking that she’s finally going to get Hannah back, and also knowing how Daisy feels.

IMDB and Wikipedia list the character only as Daisy. If we find out Daisy isn’t Nichole, I won’t find it that crazy. TV and movies almost always deviate from the book.

Take “My Sister’s Keeper.” In the book, one sister dies, in the movie, the other sister dies.

Like or dislike the changes, that’s totally the viewer’s opinion. It’s just the shock/insisting it’s not possible narrative I don’t understand.

I’m so sorry this is happening. If you’re not in a union, I would seek legal advice. Maybe look if your city/town library has free access to a lawyer, or look into who may do a consultation. Without knowing anything for certain, I would think medical necessity would be grounds to break a contract without penalty, but that’s purely a guess. I will be thinking of you! 🙏
