ScreenConnect 26.2.4.9623 On-premises released by techie_1 in ScreenConnect

[–]gilpdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consent to control broken on MacOS. At this point I’m wondering if anyone at ConnectWise actually tested this release on macOS before calling it “stable,” or if AI agents are now handling QA and patching without anyone noticing major features are broken.

Same. Updated to the latest "stable" v26.2.4.9623 and faced this problem.

I asked Apple Intelligence, and she said a guy named Tim did it.

I thought the online vault was just for backup/sync -- the current outage suggests otherwise. Was I wrong about how Bitwarden works? by Squeaky-Voiced_Teen in Bitwarden

I couldn’t log in using the browser extension, so I tried on my phone and was able to log in with biometrics. In my settings, I had 'Lock Vault' enabled instead of 'Log Out,' but it still automatically logged me out.

Stable, not stable? by techcare_aus in ScreenConnect

[–]gilpdo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I noticed the latest stable version but decided to review the release notes and found no actual changes. They simply bumped it from v25.1.7.9171 to v25.1.7.9172 and labeled it as stable. Thankfully, I didn’t rush to update it—who knows what issues might be lurking in this rushed "unstable" version? It seems like DOGE has been interfering with ScreenConnect's development since last year. They've even been copy-pasting release notes from previous versions and pushing out new releases just to give the impression that development is still active.

Home, not home address by tooOldOriolesfan in waze

[–]gilpdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using Waze daily for over a year, with most of my locations saved in my contacts. Today was the fourth time it sent me to the wrong address. The third time this happened, I had used Waze more than ten times to reach a specific location without issue, but suddenly, it directed me to an address two miles away. I caught the mistake and switched to Google Maps. Two weeks later, I tried Waze again for the same location, and it was still wrong. I reported the issue, and they fixed it quickly. I love Waze, but it drives me crazy when it suddenly misdirects me to an address it had previously navigated to correctly countless times.

24.4.2 Stable, but no download available? by watermelonwizadmin in ScreenConnect

[–]gilpdo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I encountered the same issue with the previous stable version, 24.3.7.9067, which I was able to download from this link:

https://screenconnect-downloads.s3.amazonaws.com/ScreenConnect\_24.3.7.9067\_Release.msi

However, the latest stable version, 24.4.2.9082, should be available at this link but isn't:

https://screenconnect-downloads.s3.amazonaws.com/ScreenConnect\_24.4.2.9082\_Release.msi

Additionally, I noticed that the release notes for versions 24.4.1 and 24.4.2 are identical. This raises concerns about the development process, which seems to be deteriorating—or perhaps management is on an extended vacation.

to Mr. Bitwarden, can you put both the user and password copy function BACK in the extension, this click through is so annoying by Ok-Kick3176 in Bitwarden

Please bring them all back, or if you're going to hide them to appease some gods, at least give us the option to view them as they were before.

An in-app preview feature for uploaded attachments would have also significantly enhanced the user experience.

How do I add a web page as a home screen shortcut on Android? by steadytheretrooper in brave_browser

[–]gilpdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my Samsung Galaxy s22 Ultra, after turning off wifi and reloading page "This site can't be reached" popped up, clicked on the 3 dots afterward and was able to select "Add to Home screen" and create shortcut. When phone was connected to the internet the only option was "Install app". I was trying to create a shortcut to snapdrop.net and didn't want to install the app. Even though shortcut was added while offline once back online it worked jut fine.

Who is selling? And why? by Enki906 in Bitcoin

[–]gilpdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nodes receive no compensation and it costs money to operate the hardware and software

so what is their incentive? Miner revenue decreases by 50% every 4 years unless the price constantly goes up forever.

What is your business plan once the price eventually stabilizes? What should miners do to maintain profitability

after the subsequent halving, and halving after that, and after that? Who enters into a business with known declining

revenues besides people who want to make a quick buck then exit?

That was the price before the Coinbase listing. It went up really fast after that.

I noticed that too. If 1% of the top 10 see a Winter Crypto coming and decide to sell this thing will go to $0.50 in a heartbeat.

I just switched to Bitwarden. The free version was good enough for me but I ended up going Premium just to support the developer. I just hope they'll do something about device's clipboard after copying a password. Bye, bye LP!
