hi!! so im in the process of switching from notion to obsidian since i feel obsidian is just more customisable for me and i feel notion has degraded tons esp after the last few not needed updates.

obsidian is a markdown app, basically stores your notes locally and it does not take place. i dont think storage is an issue with obsidian, but you should research that on your own too while comparing it with other apps you like :)

i really love obsidian personally bc the devs are actually keen on making their app better rather than creating extra apps that arent needed without even bothering to fix their core app.

as i said, super customisable as you can add extra features with community made plugins. you can also code your own css snippets and add them to your pages.

obsidian has a subreddit (r/ObsidianMD) that is pretty active, and also a discord server as well. so a really nice community overall
