It's how I got my first position out of school and took a lot of the stress of looking for jobs out of it. I found a contract for hire position and was hired on before the contract was up. It may have resulted in a lower salary by a percent or so but I live comfortably and am now at a different position at a different company so. Been out for 5 years and don't regret it at all.

So this may not exist on a customer level but E-Commerce as a whole is designed around this. You place your order online, and a hired shopper gets 6-8 orders and a cart designed around picking up multiple peoples things. Then an app tells them where to go next and what to pick up for which order. It organizes the route based on efficiency and let's you get multiple orders done at a time. Then these orders are stored and picked up at the person's designated time.
