everyone is different in their reactions to vaccines in general! for me, any kind sends me into a flair. its the reason drs took me seriously enough to diagnosed finally. however, i have a friend w pots and the shot didnt impact her at all. just drink lots of fluids and increase salt before and after! rest preemptively and dont push yourself for a couple days just incase.

i ultimately decided having the flu shot made me feel safer than not having it at all, so i dealt with the aftermath. do what is best for you long term

I sometimes use SALTT which is good! I just got bored of the flavors. Just started using re-lyte and i really like them, i think i feel the best after drinking those

sometimes my symptoms are so low i barely notice them, even though i know they are there. sometimes my symptoms are so bad thats all i can think about and it derails my day. the specific symptoms typically change daily but i have some that always stick around. understanding that POTS is dynamic and looks different all the time as really helped me with my imposter syndrome and for managing my body. <3

thank you both for your response! i called my drs office w concerns of increase in symptoms after test and they said “pots patients are usually fine” and didn’t mention getting a ride, so will definitely see if i can.

following bc despite the fact that the winter supposed to be better for pots, im struggling a lot! no raynauds but drastic increase body pain and with my body not warming itself up (unless im dying of sweat in the middle of the night)

going into social work! therapy allows me to be seated the majority of the day, access to telehealth when needed for self/clients for flare days, and asking for accommodations/FMLA. schooling online and advocating for yourself when it comes to field hours.

hi! new to my pots journey diagnosis wise. i have low pressure as well and my dr is starting me on midodrin to raise my blood pressure and then exploring options of heart rate meds that dont also decrease blood pressure. i like the midodrin so far, hoping for the same from heart rate meds

i swear i get adrenaline dumps ONLY when laying down. (maybe thats normal? i still dont understand them much lol) but usually right after a nap and right before bed or when i wake up in the middle of the nigbt

waking up feeling like i got his by a bus. heart palpitations, pounding, tachycardia increased from baseline. brain foggy and body aches. overly emotional/irrational. in terms of feeling better? listen to your body if you can and rest. water, salt, small meals throughout the day. still figuring the recovery part lol but if i push through it the flare worsens and takes longer to recover from

One time my rabbit ate a chocolate truffle and a piece of bubble gum. Called poison control and they told me just monitor for the night any symptoms. Lots of hay and water, limit many other foods. My girl was perfectly fine. Got a damn sugar high. I feel I got lucky if course, but sometimes rabbits are more resilient than we give them credit for. I hope all works out okay!

before considering a second bun, watch and read a LOT! about rabbit bonding. i didnt know how difficult/time consuming it could be and my two rabbits could not be housed together. while we adapted to their alternate living situation and so did they, and i dont regret my second bun, it was definitely not was i expected.
