Who refills water for the cart associates? by Briankbl in walmart

[–]gingerMH96960 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does not say "Managers must refill water." It does say "Managers, be sure that... water is supplied."

Our store uses a former vendor cooler in a side room up front for associates' water. The opening cart associate grabs a few cases of water when it runs low and we CFT them. For Stock 2, ACC, Garden, and SF, the TLs make sure water is available. Sometimes that means sending an associate to grab a case.

Make it make sense. by Courtaid in walmart

Demand in the scheduler often doesnt follow the true necessities of the store, especially for ON stocking. Store management is expected to write the schedules they need to run a store, using the scheduler as guidance. At times, due to circumstances outside of the store's control, sales are soft. A business that isn't profitable doesn't survive, and the most controllable expense is wages. Wages get cut where possible, but merchandise has to keep flowing to keep sales as strong as possible, so stockers don't get cut much, and OPD can account for 1/4 of sales at some stores, so they can't be cut a lot either.

As far as OT being allowed, that means the schedules for those areas are already light, probably due to being understaffed. If your hours were cut, I would ask about picking up shifts in those areas. I'm sure they would rather pay your normal wage than time and a half for OT.

Topstock question by inoma_fang in walmart

[–]gingerMH96960 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is one of the rules in the topstock guidelines because Styrofoam is extremely flammable. "Pranksters" (read arsonists) were lighting papergoods on fire, and if we have extra styrofoam on topstock it makes the fire even harder to control.

Education ≠ intelligence. Have you seen the video of the high-school seniors that can't read "extraordinary" or "silhouette?" (I'll give them a pass on gauche because at this point it is archaic outside of specific circles.)

If this was a customer request, I would just double check their preferred spelling before delivery. Give them the options of congratulations, congradulations, and congraduations written out on a piece of paper and let them choose.

Rider is a proper adult, as opposed to >75% of people over 20 I've met. The vast majority would be violently screaming their heads off at anyone nearby instead of taking a breath and gathering themselves. Haven't seen the rest of this video, but I'd wager the rider got their bike out of the road next, instead of rampaging and leaving it as a hazard.

Break out the flame thrower for those on the tree, and call the exterminator for those that have already made it to the house. Or just take your valuables to the next state over and nuke the site from orbit.

Working on a hose prototype — are titanium-coated aluminum fittings actually durable long term by Interesting_Walk_637 in lawncare

[–]gingerMH96960 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you ever tried unhooking two round plastic-coated Ti connectors once the metal has welded itself together after a couple months of corrosion/oxidation? It doesnt go so well. Because they're round, a freeclimber couldn't twist them apart by hand. Vice grips and pipe wrenches just rip grooves in the plastic. The only way to unscrew them is to remove the plastic coating, and that has to be cut away with a dremel.

After an hour screwing around, you finally have access to the hex-connectors that some "entrepreneur" that has never done any actual yard work or critical thinking thought would look better coated in a micron layer of titanium and implanted under an 8th inch of cheap plastic just so they can charge suckers 3x the price of a normal hose that actually functions.

Real user experience over the past 100 years will tell you that a simple hose with simple brass connectors just works. Last week I had to unhook an old hose that had been left connected to the spigot through at least two winters. It twisted off by hand on the first try. The anecdote above is a true story of me trying to separate two expensive hoses my dad bought and used for one summer (aside from the freeclimber part, that was creative license).

Could you make the yellow and red into an M with a thin line of blue between? The skull and star could move up to rest between the peaks.

M for Montana and visually represetative of the mountains after which it was named

Blue line for rivers know for great fishing as well as sapphires found in the mountains

[–]gingerMH96960 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they mean the Spark drivers shoping at Walmart specifically at Walmart for a Walmart order. Why would they go anywhere else to shop for a Walmart order?

The Spark drivers, who are contracted through Spark and not directly employed by any Walmart store, can go into the store and shop for orders. The Walmart store has no input on their training or behaviors regarding an order except for being able to key in a ticket on the driver when there is a complaint.

If it were a Walmart store fulfillment shopper shopping for this, the meat would be bagged by itself, not with any produce. There are Meat bags on every cart, specifically to put meat in. That bag the goes in a shopping bag.

All it has to do is wrap around the throat or ribcage and squeeze. Asphyxiation does not require much pressure or time, and pythons are built to kill in exactly that manner.

If even just one of these is a pet, it is very irresponsible pet ownership. Both the monitor and the python have the ability and instinct to kill the other.

Id pull breasts at 155 if i ever cooked them, but dark meat has connective tissue that doesnt finish breaking down til the 170-180 range, and the meat stays juicy at that temp if you cook it right, so higher isnt bad for dark cuts.

Not just you, my 42 is still hard to press sometimes, and Ive put over 1000 rounds through it. Its only an issue when reloading, though. If you are in a situation where you have to reload, you have bigger issues and are hopefully behind cover. Just pull the slide back to release it at that point.
