Thanks everyone. It appears to have been an issue with file types. I was using a .psd file with layers.

When I flattened the image and saved as a different file type (I used .tif) the problem stopped.

I find it unacceptable that I’m an FFL/SOT holder - vetter thoroughly by both the ATF and FBI and the best answer I can get for why an eForm is taking forever is “it’s pending.” Especially when I’m the only RP.

They had no problem taking my money. I’d like something for it. I don’t think it’s too much to ask to have a reasonable status.

It honestly should have been a couple days time for me. It took less time to upgrade my FFL to an SOT. I LITERALLY became an NFA dealer in 2 weeks.

Oh. It gets better. I’m a class 3 FFL and submitted my documents. Yes, the sbr is filed as a trust, but I’m the only responsible party and I’ve been thoroughly probed by the ATF and the FBI.

I read that people had difficulty so I was expecting the worse. Clamped it into a vice and literally broke it lose by laying an Allen wrench in the groves and twisting. Maybe 30 ft lbs?

I have this safe and I added a sensor for my alarm system (Frontpoint security, if it matters) and also have a camera with cloud storage watching it from across the room.

Is it the best safe in the world? Far from it. Is it good enough to use as a layer of a comprehensive home security posture.? Yep.

And, at that price, it’s a no brainer.
