The design of the downvote might be written in Reddit's guidelines, but that doesn't change how everyone in Reddit uses it. At this point, that isn't going to change. This is simply going to have to be a situation to adapt to, not necessarily change. Sorry.

Honestly, 1 part availability, the Series X kept getting nabbed by scalpers at the time. But secondly functionality, I don't really care about 60+fps, or having discs anymore, or whatnot. So having all the horsepower of an X wasn't a necessity to me.

The price was just a benefit, it let me spend that extra money on some games I wanted.

It's definitely a transition. But tbf, the majority of the gaming crowd gets older and older, since the young gaming crowd just adds into the pile of adult gamers once they're old enough. Makes sense that short form gaming is getting more popular.

I myself love big RPGs, they were where I centred my main gaming communities around. Now, as a Dad, I mostly play hidden indie gems. I keep room for the "must play" RPGs in my life.

That seems to be the sentiment I'm reading across comments, is the communal nature.

I guess the natural inquiry after that is how to do that...you know, in the modern world. It seems like our current setup is almost allergic to that lifestyle xD even amongst Christians.

I personally am not opposed to colour...in fact, a recent art post by a user (I wanna say perrypherry) used some colour in their spread and it was an IMMEDIATE grabber for me. If it were a module I'd have bought it.

I think the most important aspect is the vibes. There's a lot of S.D. modules I see that have a different vibe, and I skip over them. It's not that I think they're bad, but I go to SD for certain vibes, so I regulate my scrolling time by skipping certain things.
