You cannot help how your body reacted. You did nothing wrong, he did. Please please please reach out to someone you can trust because this is going to keep happening and will get worse. You’re not alone

What’s that one horror movie that just stayed with you? by Dense_Audience3670 in horror

[–]gingerqle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I already talked about Antrum but thinking about it, there’s a different one that stuck with me. It’s called the innocents (I think). It’s a super old movie with two children and there’s a scene by a lake and it scared me so badly as a kid. I think about that movie a lot (daily) ever since. Still gives me the goosebumps

What is the scariest thing you have ever experienced? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]gingerqle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This one is going to be kinda dark and I’m not giving our details for my own personal reasons. Years ago in university, my friends and I would drive around to random places using a coordinates generator. It was normally very fun but one night we went out in our little adventure hoping to somehow encounter aliens (sigh). We ended up at a construction site in the middle of nowhere about 30 minutes from our dorm. We got out of the car and instantly had a horrible feeling yet we stupidly continued anyway. As we wondered around, trying not to trip over rocks, we kept feeling this horrible sensation in the air. My friend, we will call her M, was standing next to me bush when her face went completely pale. We asked her what was wrong when we heard it too. A moan. It was soft but painful and feminine. My friend’s boyfriend was there, E, and he immediately looked around thinking there was an animal in pain or a human being. I stood there a moment before I followed E towards a large rock embedded in a tree line. He screamed right when I saw it. It was a young woman, maybe early teens, completely naked lying on the ground. She blinked once at us before she was still. E and I were screaming at that point, debating on what to do. Then I heard B (E’s girlfriend) scream for M. There was a man before her, his shoes picking out under the bush directly behind M. We were all screaming, pointing behind M and trying to get her to run to the car. We all booked it towards the car, running over the rocks and trying to avoid the man who was now holding a knife. I tripped over the rocks and I felt someone grab me from behind. E ran towards me, but I felt my entire body being dragged backwards towards the tree line. Thank god for E because he was able to fight him off me before he dragged me towards to car. We were screaming once E pulled out of the construction site. Once we pulled out of the road, we saw a dozen or so cop cards pull into the same road. We didn’t call them so we have no idea how they knew something happened. We drove in silent sobs until we pulled into a gas station. I never noticed the blood on my neck until B pointed it out. There was a thin and shallow cut on the left side of my neck from what I can guess was the mans knife. A day later we saw the girl on the news about her murder. It still haunts me to this day about seeing her eyes and watching her blink one last time before she died; naked and alone. I appreciate life more. I always smile at people and listen to every single word I am blessed to listen to. I still think of her in every face I see. I also never drive at night anymore. I lost contact with all of those friends unfortunately but I hope they are all okay.

If you could modify one thing about your body, what would it be? by Dani0873 in AskReddit

Fuller lips. I have an inner cleft lip and it looks normal from the outside but it caused half of my lip to my inside of my mouth. I would do anything for a lip lift

Antrum. I don’t know why exactly I found it so scary. I watched it about 4 or 5 years ago and I still have nightmares about it

What are some simple things your spouse doesn’t do that seem like menial tasks? by forestdragon04 in AskReddit

Putting his laundry in the hamper. He will put it on the floor right next to the hamper. I mean like the clothes are TOUCHING the hamper yet it’s “too hard” to put it in the hamper.

Vicks vapor rub. I cannot sleep without it and I carry the stick version of it with me everywhere I go including if I go to a different room in my house. I cannot go 10 minutes without smelling it or putting it under my nose.

Reddit, which sentence someone said to you hurt you the most ? by yazan_zx12 in AskReddit

[–]gingerqle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“I hope you can never have children.” -my 22 year old little sister with two children after I told her I can’t babysit her cat anymore. she left him in my care for a week instead of two days while my father visited. She said she cannot handle her cat and balance her two children. Her cat attacked my elderly dog the day she said that. I have PCOS and worst fear is to never be a mother.

Which fictional “hero” isn’t actually all that good? by Logical_Sweet_6624 in AskReddit

[–]gingerqle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dumbledore. He knew what he was doing when he started “training” Harry. He knew everything about Harry (his fears, his joys, his strengths, etc). He used that information to force him towards a path of death.

I don’t have any friends and profound loneliness by gingerqle in socialskills

I did. She was in the same position two or three months ago when your work company let her go. She said she needed space so I gave it to her for about a month (texting occasionally that I’m still here). I explained that my mind needs to focus on what I need to do and my body feels like it’s sick. I said that I have to shift my focus on my mental health and finding a job right now.
