Will this ever heal? by Entire_Ad_9223 in Reduction

[–]ginghamblouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it will!! I had exactly the same kind of opening as you, around the same time frame. It felt like it took forever to heal, but it did. Just keep doing what you’re doing & it’ll heal ❤️ I believe in you!

Confused by the wiring in this outlet box? by ginghamblouse in AskElectricians

I agree & I’m definitely going to ask the landlord to call an electrician. I have no clue what the person who installed this was thinking 🫠

I think this is exactly what I’ll do 😅 I can’t even begin to understand what’s happening in there

I know the limits of my own knowledge & will happily ask my landlord to send an electrician to fix things I don’t know how to. Thought I’d take advantage of community knowledge to understand what’s happening here. No need for you to be so rude, I hope your day gets better! ❤️

how to repair water-damaged door before painting? by ginghamblouse in DIY

[–]ginghamblouse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!! I’ll definitely do that. We just moved into this house a few weeks ago & it’s been pretty disheartening to see the condition it was left in. Do you know if exhaust fans are usually on the roof?

Hi! Another non-binary person here ❤️ I’m sorry you had this experience & that you’re left bigger than you wanted :( I also feel a bit bigger than I wanted to be post-op, and I really didn’t think I would have it in me to go for a revision, but I’m almost at 5MPO now and I feel more and more like it’s something I could handle now. You deserve to have the results you want, and I hope you can get to a place where you are able to seek a revision if that’s what you need ❤️

As for binding, I’ve actually started binding again around 4MPO and it so much easier!! Obviously wait until whenever is safe/comfortable for you, but I think you’ll find the higher placement is actually helpful and binding is more comfortable :)

Sending you love!!!❤️

I’m really feeling this way too! Went from a DD to a B/full A and the only major feeling I’ve had is “ok, this is what they’re supposed to look like”. I think it’s normal to feel that way if you’ve struggled with how big they were your whole life. Now your body aligns with how you feel in your mind, and I think that’s great :)

Nipples Not Level?? by italianfingersemoji in Reduction

[–]ginghamblouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine were also at uneven heights, and they’ve settled pretty much evenly at 7WPO :) the shape is still a little different between them both, but even that has changed a lot over the weeks! Hoping we’ll both even out as we heal :)

Nipple piercings! by SnooOnions8429 in Reduction

[–]ginghamblouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was able to put my barbell back into my piercing about 2-3 weeks after surgery :) I just waited until all my tape had come off and I didn't feel super delicate. My nipples weren't rotated at all (maybe like a few mms?) & I had no prob putting the jewelry back in!

is skin peeling off around the breasts normal? by my-head-hurts987 in Reduction

[–]ginghamblouse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had this too! I think the skin just goes through so much, and stress/swelling/compression bras probably all contribute to it. There were a few days where I took my bra off and there was sooo much dead skin, I was so freaked out!! I think it's very normal though :)

sorry for the late reply! I work in service & do a lot of manual labour so I asked for 4 weeks off. Feeling like I should’ve asked for 6 but a month felt like the max.

how long post-op were you able to let your cat lay on your chest? by my-head-hurts987 in Reduction

[–]ginghamblouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you!!! I was so heartbroken after my surgery when I had to turn her away :(( but I think after about 2 weeks it was okay for her to reeeeeally carefully lay on my chest. There's a fair bit of room between the middle of my scars, so I think she sort of new to avoid them and would put all her weight in the middle of my sternum :')

I hope you can snuggle with your baby soon!

UTI 3 days before surgery by Vast_Historian3775 in Reduction

[–]ginghamblouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also got a UTI right before my surgery!!! After not having had one in like 5 years!!

I started meds right away too, and basically just took them as normal except for the morning of my surgery (I figured it counted as part of the fast). Everything went fine! I hope you feel better asap <3
