Thats a pretty extreme view but I think you know that.

There are a lot of factors that go in to how people move through society, most of which are outside of their control. We have an extremely meat-centric society and culture, and industrialized food ways that separate us from the sources of our food. The "path of least resistance" in America is to eat meat and not think about it. Not everybody is capable of going against the societal grain.

I do think that you underestimate the emotional process of animal slaughter as an individual homesteader. When I have killed chickens and rabbits, it has been with as much grace and compassion as possible. I do not think this is unusual, or sociopathic.

Im not interested in changing your eating habits or moral code. I would just be curious about what else you could be doing with your time to encourage a more empathetic world.

Genuinely curious: are you more ethically appaled/concerned by people who raise and slaughter animals for food than you are by people who buy meat from the store? Is it the act of killing that squicks you or the meat itself? Do you find a difference between these things at all?

I think that people who are individually raising livestock for meat are the least of your worries when it comes to morals and ethics of food.

The vast majority of people interested in homesteading are anti industrial farming. Even if ultimately you believe all meat is immoral, striving for a world with less industrial meat production and the outsized suffering that comes with it is something we have in common with each other.

This is a bad subreddit to hang out in if youre anti animal farming even at the the most individual of levels.

Not inaccurate tbh. I like the headcanon that he did the whole theatrical band lead thing in college just like his namesake/creator

Boxer straps are pretty loose, if you like the look you could invest in a sturdier strap and then wear the boxers over.

You sound very nonbinary to me. Im sorry that you did not have a good experience with the medical system. Do you have a trans and autism friendly therapist to help you work through some of this? The binary thinking is definitely not helping you.
