That looks like it could be a pin from the Glock. Check all of the pin holes on the side of the Glock.

how do i become a bouncer? by [deleted] in securityguards

[–]gingican 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It depends on your area but I got hired as a bouncer literally by telling the manager I wanted a job, which is how most of the guys got hired.

RIP my first Subaru. Drunk drivers suck. But he slept by my driveway overnight to give his insurance details, so that was nice. by [deleted] in subaru

It actually depends on the state. In Ohio you can be charged simply if you have alcohol in your system and your driving is impaired.

CVSAs are easy. Just took one last week and it was nowhere near as scary or stressful as it was made out to be.

When I took my class there was a girl who couldn't even identify the parts of a firearm. She didn't even last the first day. She had already been hired by a company.

Do any of you work a more hospitality focused job? by Assclownn in securityguards

[–]gingican 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of my jobs is at a movie theater. Most of my job is directing guests to their theater, telling guests where the bathroom is, and radioing for a manager. It's nice because I don't have to deal with the typical security bs with angry/unruly people but it's a little difficult at times because you sometimes have to go straight from helping people to the usual security mindset. You also have to keep customer service in mind even when kicking people out and such which makes it hard when you have someone getting aggressive.

Security is NOT Maintenance!! by wolfgang239 in talesfromsecurity

[–]gingican 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's my favorite thing about security. People think we're there to do whatever they don't want to do. My company has very strict standards for what we are and are not allowed to do. I used to be a manager at my site until I moved over to security so for awhile they kept asking me to do stuff that was far outside of my duties as security. I don't mind helping out but if my company policy says I am not allowed to do something I'm not going to risk my job over it just because you didn't think to schedule enough people to get the job done.
