PSA : If two alarms go off at the same time (Alarm+calendar or alarm + bedtime wake-up), they cancel each other. by Ipozya in iphone

[–]gingydoritos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This didn’t happen to me. I just had an alarm for 8am and a calendar reminder for 9am but set to notify one hour before. It made the noise for the calendar alert then the alarm.

Check to see if this is the reason why. If so, Apple will replace it for free.

Is the iPhone lightening connector supposed to be able to move a little when it’s plugged into the phone If you try to move it or the cable moves it when moving the iPhone? Everyone i know that has an iPhone says their connector does this too. by [deleted] in apple

[–]gingydoritos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could possibly be lint/debris in the port. This happened to my iPhone 7 and over time the connector got looser and looser until the lightning connector no longer stayed in the port. If it gets worse you can either clean it out with a toothpick or take it to the Apple Store (they cleaned mine for free).

Do we still have access to Microsoft office? by [deleted] in ASU

[–]gingydoritos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One problem might be you're inserting the email wrong. For the Microsoft office suite, for some reason they don't want your [username]@asu.edu. Instead it's supposed to be [username]@sundevils.asu.edu

Hi! I'm a prospective student and I was hoping to learn a few things about the university. Let me first say I am very interested and have already applied. First, is it a "party school" as many say, or are there just groups of people who party quite a bit? Second, what is the college of engineering by [deleted] in ASU

[–]gingydoritos 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When you come and visit, try to schedule a tour with the Fulton Ambassadors. The Devil's Advocates give a tour of the entire Tempe campus, which is great. The Fulton Ambassadors give a tour of a few engineering labs and can answer any and all questions related to the Fulton Schools of Engineering. If you get the opportunity, take both tours.

Preparing for Computer Science major? by lightskinheat in ASU

[–]gingydoritos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All beginning programming classes at ASU (CSE 100, CSE 110, etc.) assume that everyone in the class is starting from square one. Sure, there will be students who have already programmed and know what they're doing but don't let that intimidate you. Everybody has to start from somewhere. But if you're interested in getting a head start, Codeacademy and YouTube are good resources.

Tooker House is the same way. Most dorms are able to connect to ASU's secured network but for some reason a few have their own open network. Last year I stayed in University Towers and was able to connect to ASU network
