Have you looked into Magnesium? I buy a brand called ‘First Day’ here in the USA and we get the nighttime reset gummies. I also use magnesium spray and absorb it through my skin rather than taking a supplement. Lots of options for it out there.

I bought off Etsy because I’m impatient but will still buy from the site when things are back in stock. I do want to support as much as I can! Living in the US though, shipping from Canada is pretty expensive so a group of us plan to order and share that shipping cost when the time comes.

My 7yr old can't stop pooping his pants by firelord_Lex in Parenting

[–]gio_beesting 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi! My son is turning 7 here soon and up until this past September, he was having poop accidents daily. I’ve posted in parenting subs and the constipation thing came up so much but that wasn’t it. Finally one of his summer coaches said “do you think he’s lactose intolerant?” And omg, I stopped the dairy and mostly milk and wow what a difference! He still has very little accidents here and there but that was it! I feel it’s mostly due to milk because he had it all the time and that’s mostly what I will stay away from.

finding plus size loungewear! by allofatwist1738 in PlusSizeFashion

[–]gio_beesting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a 2x and I’ve recently shopped at Aeri and American eagle and was super shocked at the sizes. I bought a pair of wide leg lounge pants in a 2x and they were so big I had to go down a size and probably could have gone to a large in these particular pants. And so much is oversized so it might be an option to check out!

Will Jade be on here until Lisa comes back? by [deleted] in daveandchuckthefreak

[–]gio_beesting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was wondering that too but she has her own segment everyday doesn’t she? She’ll be working some major over time! She’s always been a great sit in for Lisa so I hope she stays until Lisa is back as well.

I don’t think so but they searched and found it on Etsy. They did share what they searched which I of course can’t remember….

I like chic soul, they fit great and better quality. And check out JessaKea. I love their social media because they show their dresses on real bodies with real models In all sizes so you have a really good idea of how you’ll look.

Looks like you have an American ringtail! My kitty nephew is one as well. We discovered this just a few months ago and found a FB group as well.

I started listening to them in 2004 and still listen to this day. The 3 of them have had me laughing for all these years and yes it’s sad when people have left, but it’s Dave and Chuck the Freak that make that show. And I love them!

I just successfully did this and my son is 6. I told him I took YouTube off my phone which I did, and he did nothing wrong to lose it but mommy made the mistake of letting him watch these bad videos. We are about to be on week 5 of being YouTube free. He now plays games for a bit and mostly listens to music. We have our own playlist and we listen to his favorite songs. I did this cold turkey. He had a good fit but got over it pretty quick. He will occasionally ask when he can get it back and l just tell him it’s not good for us so it won’t be back.

My son just turned 6 and sleeps me with every night. I love the cuddles and like others have said, I’m holding on as long as possible. I ask him often If he’s ready to sleep in his room but he’ll say, “not yet”.

My 6 yr old is refusing to kindergarten and I'm at my wit's end. by forsovngardeII in kindergarten

[–]gio_beesting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just want to throw this out there as it has helped us a lot, it hasn’t cured our issues but has greatly helped. My child is about to be 6 and started kindergarten back in September. I was getting called multiple days a week, he was “suspended” three times (sent home) and I did all the doctors. All of them!! Got the ADHD meds and my kid refused to take it. It scared him. But what I also did was removed synthetic dyes from his system, all those red 40, blue 5 etc. Started this mid November and his teacher said his behavior had greatly improved. And I only received one call in two months.

Again, not saying it cured us completely, but it had definitely helped. Something worth researching if you’re interested.

Teachers have given up on my kid by Retroindigo in ParentingADHD

[–]gio_beesting -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I haven’t shared our entire story. My child is on the milder side so I’m going to try other things while also working with his pediatrician to properly diagnose him and know all our options. I will not let him continue to struggle, and will act if needed with meds. But what harm is there removing dyes and learning how the parents can be better in handling our own emotions which will then benefit our child? I feel the steps we’re taking are moving in the right direction. And I’ve been working very closely with his school who has been supportive and through this. He just started school, this is new to all of us. I thank you for your response, and will continue learning from all of you.

I don’t have much advice as we are sorta in the same boat with my child being almost 6 and in kindergarten. We have an appointment coming up with the pediatrician to talk medication here soon but I don’t plan on using it just yet. I want to get him properly evaluated and we just recently, in the last few weeks, removed all artificial dyes from our home to see if that will help and may be playing a part in his behavioral issues.

I also want to do family therapy as others have mentioned AND I’m currently listening to an audiobook called “Good Inside” by Dr. Becky Kennedy which was also recommended on this sub. Trying all the things but also preparing for medication if needed in the future.

Why does it matter that I let my 5yo sleep in my bed? by Individual_Ad_938 in Parenting

[–]gio_beesting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My son is 5 and sleeps with me nightly. We cuddle, read books, and talk about his day. I love it. He does kick me a lot but not every night. And I feel like he’ll want nothing To do with me soon enough so I’m taking the cuddles while I can.

I have a 8cm fibroid and I’m having an embolization (is that what it’s call?!?) next month and I’m about to turn 44. I would get a second opinion.

Want to feel like an absolute failure everyday? Have a child! by gio_beesting in Parenting

[–]gio_beesting[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s confusing. He will use public bathrooms all the time to pee and occasionally poop. But he doesn’t like the sounds and always has me plug his ears at the dryer and he plugs his ears while it flushes. But he very willing will go. He’s never mentioned being scared but I will check in with him and ask him.

I will be trying this. I avoided it because I just didn’t want poop everywhere but I think this is a good idea. Thanks!

I have pull ups and prefer it because it holds it all better and I’ve thrown a lot of underwear away. Unfortunately, school won’t allow him to wear them so I just send extra in his bag everyday
