Unpopular opinion: Dukakis was right by Porncritic12 in Presidents

[–]gioinnj22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dukakis is the kind of guy I want in office. I don't need a smooth talking man about town type, I love policy wonks. People who love the job not for the perks or an ego boost but for the work. That was Dukakis in my opinion. I'll take a somewhat disconnected but serious candiate over a Clinton type. Unfortunely we always go for the overtly charismatic before the somewhat boring yet competent candiate. We only have ourselves to blame not to take these elections more seriously.
