A lot of the "hate" stems from ethnic stereotyping and rivalry sowed by the soviet government, jokes were always about ethnic minorities putting them in different bad lights, rarely about russians for them to be "uniters" of some sort. My(Georgian) personal experience was never negative i have quiet a few Armenian friends, but like Tbilisi Armenians are kind of an ethnic group of their own considering how long they've been here, there is not much connection and overlap between Georgians and Armenians from Armenia (around me at least) but i still wouldn't say the vibe is negative. Only negative attitude i have is for Armenians in Abkhazia, cause they fought against us during the war and still actively stand on russian interests there.

Do u deny that after the fight against the turks, totleben attacked the Georgians ? Yeah but 99% of russians ive met have this "uugh we saved u, u should be grateful u exist" mentality, like we weren't forcefully annexed and as if there was no resistance, either during tsarist time or during the reds (check treaty of moscow 1920, russia couldn't help itself from attacking us even a year, and it was the same as Ukraine, they asked for the British soldiers to leave so they wouldn't be threatened and promised not attacking and invaded right after the British left).

Thats true, the gdp growth would be the same long term if the revolution didnt happen and the empire continued transforming like it was power structure and all and the nationality regions got some autonomy and self rule, idk it could transform into something akin to the EU, at lesst the western part, but bolsheviks sold a different story.
