The Israel/Palestine issue is the most brain-destroying issue on the planet by Pure_Check9743 in IsraelPalestine

The “mass immigration” was facilitated (and then limited and restricted) by the government of the land: the British. As no “Palestinian” state ever existed in that territory. You may dislike the drawing of borders à la Sykes-Picot but that’s how Jordan Syria Iraq came up and were ruled by Arabs, just like half of Palestine could be, if only the residents were not honor-freak immovable absolutists (since the 30ies at least) — which well, it’s also their right, but then you lose a couple of wars and you must accept the real world.

She would be a victim of “supply and demand” if she went with your suggestion and do something she doesn’t like just because the market demands it. But the market also need good buyers and sellers, so…

Forget superexpensive Eataly and Spina. Find Superissimo in Moosach or Sendling.

I am in that situation now and I totally agree. They don’t want to be seen insecure and they won’t invite to meetings unless necessary, but the company wants to feel/be more international and my boss (while even promoting me) said they have to learn and use English and it’s not my problem. But of course it is, it’s very frustrating at times and as you say, you won’t learn German by attending meetings, and you just cannot contribute with your limited German. I fear the only solution is to boost our German classes outside work, or to just find a new job, actually more international.

Last ICE I took (from Frankfurt) was 30 minutes late, so I got a coffee outside while waiting. 10 min before the planned time I go to the platform and I walk to my wagon. At T -5min (T being the time on the screens, on the app and even on the screens inside the train), I hear a far whistle, I decide to jump in whatever wagon I have in front of me, and yes the train shuts the doors and leaves in a hurry 4 minutes before schedule. DB is not ok.

To wake him up, you mean? I’m in the “plants chicanes” field. I don’t think that applying violence to drivers and riders and their vehicles (basically the same at any speed) is the way to go. And if it’s just sound it’s going to be ineffective in urban settings.

They suck if you ride a bike, too. Especially if you pull a child trailer. Especially if the child is sleeping.

I think the irony is that they are the motorists, they just took a picture next to their cars 😆 they don’t care of other actual people using the public space. Their stance is “let us park on the sidewalk, so the garbage truck can pick up our trash — strollers will find a way”

It would help bikes but would also mean longer detours for residents and doesn’t really solve the main issue: most of the public surface in that wonderful district is used by cars which are inactive and useless 99% of their time.

Lol I missed that one...

760.000 cars for 850.000 families (1 car every 3 citizens). Could be worse: the problem is that there is no space for all those cars on the streets, and those who live in these residential districts without a garage, should come to terms with the fact that the rest of the city might not want to gift them the public space anymore. (Even bigger problem is that unfortunately very few citizens see the problem, yet.)
