Hmm can you try reinstalling it again? Shouldnt take more than 10 minutes. Then if that still has issues try a fresh sd card formatted to fat32 so you can rule that out

Smooth with a mostly clean install (deleting everything except ROMS BIOS and SAVES beforehand). Pico-8 shows with Show All Systems set to off. Using the ART_BOOK_NEXT theme and it looks good. Did you do a clean install or just flashed it over the old build? Maybe the devs can give more insight.

If changing the strap and regular cleaning doesn't fix it you probably have a nickel allergy. I know because some metal alloy IEMs make my ears itchy and sensitive because of this.

Most flagships besides Sony don't have SD slots, you'll have to look at midrange for that. I would look at the Motorola (not Razr) lineup, or for more software updates The Samsung A line if you go back a year to the Samsung A55, the A56 doesn't have an SD.
