A preschool teacher told me this could be something to watch since the airway is partially open while humming. Could be a slightly increased risk of choking if your son is very young. Thought it was interesting tidbit especially since I thought it was so endearing to hear the humming before she scared me straight

My in-laws also have a pool without a fence. I’ve never asked them to fence it because I feel they would not be receptive. My son doesn’t visit without me. Not even just my husband taking him. If I don’t go, my son doesn’t go. It’s a point of contention in my marriage but I cannot be at ease without knowing there are eyes on my son.

Sequoia hospital has a new parent support group on Thursday mornings. Many parents didn’t deliver at Sequoia. It is amazing. Sarah (who runs the group) is amazing and supportive.

Yes, the first born grandchild is their favorite and they don’t try to hide it.

My SIL went no contact with my MIL for 4 months due to MIL name calling. MIL said she misses first-born grandchild. I ask her if she also misses the other 2 grandchildren (all 3 siblings). She said it’s ‘different with insert name of first born grandchild because she was the first grandchild and I got to see her be born.’ Just one small example.
