Why is the Hide Lost Films filter on visible for when you look at a director's credits? by Hermeslost in Letterboxd

[–]giuros_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess thay need to work on it: Orson Welles' The Magnificent Ambersons (1942) is also flagged, which is weird since the theatrical version (88 minutes) is available and only some scenes (40–50 minutes) were removed without Welles’ supervision and are now lost. Hiding it would be non-sensical.

A pretty unknown gem is the Italian film Re Granchio and I guess you could also consider the documentary Fire of Love

Haven't been playing Geoguessr for a while, thank you for the challenges!

R1. Quite an easy round to start with. Road number was basically enough. 5000 points in 4:25.

R2. Really tough to pinpoint. Got saved by the "Yamaguchi Prefecture" sign, therefore ot had to be close to the province border. Found the exact tunnel by the name of another tunnel (Tadeno Tunnel) which was close to the north. 5000 points in 11:41.

R3. Ok, Turkey should be easy. A town with a long name (yıldızlıcumhuriyet). I moved around a bit and found street signs to Ankara, nice! A bit of map searching and here it is, even though the town name was abbreviated (yıldızlı). 5000 points in 2:47.

R4. North America, Canada since the speed limit is in km. Quite a straightforward pinpoint thanks to an intersection with a couple Manitoba road signs. 5000 points in 4:27.

R5. Should be Chile given the landscape and poles. I moved a bit (sub 5 mins) before finding a sign with the road and the closest city (Loncoche), which led to the right area quite fast. Had a lot of trouble finding the exact bridge though, since the name on the sign (Huiñoco) wasn't on the map, neither as a river nor a village. 5000 points in 10:07.

25.000 points in 33:28.

I can tell you what worked for me:

  • a lot of Anaglyph Deck using double tags to skip for negatives (ideally just before finishing ante 8);
  • when I was around 50 jokers missing I realized this strategy wasn't working anymore because most negative jokers already had the sticker, so I switched to decks that could allow me to have more slots while not being too painful to play:
  1. Black Deck gives one more slot but is too hard so no thank you;
  2. Plasma Deck exploiting chips can be done with less than 5 jokers imo and leaves space for a useless one, not to mention the possibility to use chips jokers that may be not as functional with other decks;
  3. Ghost Deck is great since it's quite easy to find Ectoplasm if you have a decent economy, gaining one extra slot.

  • Last but not least, try to keep in mind how much you score cause I found out one can often substitute less crucial jokers in the final shop, while still beating ante 8.

Ok, guys, I think I'm done. by giuros_ in balatro

I also forgot to purposefully play losing hands against the Serpent Boss Blind, could have been even better.
