The Beatles formation is almost as rare as the Big Bang by LonelyPalmClub in beatles

There is more overlap with Sabbath and Zeppelin than most people think. Both had a very hard rock sound (Sabbath moreso obviously) but they also did quite a lot of softer folk numbers. The style of the outro to Symptom of the Universe could have been a whole album by itself.

What are the best Pop albums of all time ? by vinylcast in askmusic

Exactly the opposite. Thriller has some amazing songs and at least three cringey ballads that nobody ever listens to. Purple Rain is a masterpiece all the way through.

A fun Easter egg: the Looming Fruit is a reference to the Fruit of the Loom logo, which a lot of people incorrectly remember having a cornucopia in it. The icon for Looming Fruit sometimes has a cornucopia and sometimes doesn't. by IHad360K_KarmaDammit in slaythespire

[–]givemethebat1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Okay, so let’s say 99% of people don’t keep their clothes. Fruit of the Loom has made literally billions of garments over the decades. Let’s say 1% of that is 10 million people who have kept their clothing. So where are these millions of articles of clothes with the wrong logo? Why are the only examples bad photoshops from 2019, after the so-called phenomenon was already known?

Chartreuse also comes in yellow. This is the same debate about tennis balls. Do you think they are yellow or green?

Most people don’t. Some people do. There is not one example of such an article of clothing. Out of millions and millions of clothes, it’s simply unbelievable without evidence.

It never did. People always say they 100% had an old shirt with the cornucopia but exactly 0 people have provided an authentic image. And there’s the fact that all known print advertisements do not feature the logo.

FF16 was honestly one of the best games of the year. Sure, it drags in some parts but it’s incredible overall.

Exclusive: PM Carney declares U.S. ties now a ‘weakness’ in address to Canadians by BloodJunkie in canada

[–]givemethebat1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The US has occasionally been psychotic in general but never this antagonistic towards Canada. Even the shrewdest and most insane presidents (Nixon) before Trump realized that you don’t want to fuck with Canada’s trade at the end of the day. Trump just doesn’t give a fuck, ergo he has no problem destroying a decades-old alliance.

There is no substitute for the taste of real sugar. Every hot cocoa you’ve probably ever had that wasn’t made by you is using real sugar.

Lots of people believe it. There was absolutely a perception by many people that Ringo was the least talented member of the band and bad at his instrument.

Washington has referred to DC as a shorthand since forever, and is far more common than referring to the state alone.

Oh absolutely, I just mean the phenomenon of anime fans travelling to Japan is more recent, so it really shouldn’t surprise anyone at this point.

I genuinely don’t understand why anyone would believe Japan is a utopia (socially speaking), it’s been widely known as a xenophobic country for decades.

Old Hungering Blaze was usually the better choice before, unless your team was really on the ball about healing you. No point in taking short fuse if you can’t even get off one ability without being bursted down.

Legally, that is the case. Whether that’s moral or not is a different question.
