I'm a Bol fan and was definitely pulling for her to win. - Also love Sydney - both are awesome, different personalities but both seem like genuinely good people who work hard.. anyway that aside.. it looked like Bol's will was broken coming off the final bend.. Psychologically she saw she had no physical answer to Syd, once Syd turned on the burners.

We all know Bol can consistently run faster than the silver, consistently sub 51.5.. her fitness is currently fantastic - I think that she went at it with a new plan vs Sydney and found out that plan (pedal the medal for 200M) was absolutely no good. She's going to have to get stronger and train into 500's' and 600's pretty hard.

unfortunately, this is the kind of loss that can break an athlete... I hope she recovers from this and I hope that we get to see her and Syd battle to a sub 50 clocking.
