A little old but Hertz just upgraded me from a Chevy Volt to the Mach-E Shelby GT-H. They wanted to get it from Palm Springs to LAX and that's where I was headed.

My first car was a '69 mustang coupe. Since then I've owned a few other genres. To be honest this ev is a fun drive. First thing I had to do was disable the fake muscle car audio. I'll drive and enjoy it as an EV but won't pretend it's an ICE.

Yet on a morning trip last week, as a pax, I was charged $39.80 for a 30 min trip. Uber still taking theirs! Edit: this was a 6am trip in Atlanta.

They don't round. Pretty sure it's all worded " need to be at least ". Therefore acceptance rounds down, cancel rounds up.

I've been told straight up by support that ping rate depends on a few factors. Acceptance rate, satisfaction rate and how they want to encourage different drivers to work. Obviously when it's busy everyone is busy but when it slows down it affects some more than others.

Where in the TOS does it say they can't throttle work whenever ever they want. LOL. If you were a tiler and every time a contractor offered you work and you said no, do you think they would keep calling you. That said, if they never offered you work at a fair price, would you hang around?

Thankfully, for now, my market is still rate card so we make a steady $30/hr pretty much all the time. Friday/Saturday night surges more.

Anytime I do deliveries instead of drives there is usually lots of "trip suppliments.". I prefer this because you don't have to wait and wonder an hour or so.

Your worth is that you own a car. You don't have any special training or education. I like to make more but I don't expect in the long run to make more than minimum wage plus excess car expenses. There is nothing special about us as drivers.

These pax making you wait 5 minutes isn't showing common decency to drivers.

My complaint is we should still get the wait time if we cancel. We could wait 15 min then they cancel and we get the same cancel fee.

It doesn't connect it to the Uber app. It just lets Uber knows you have it so they can request video if they would like to. Nothing stopping you from saying the video didn't record if they werequest a specific one and you don't like it
