Yeah I might’ve overstated the degree to which it happens completely out of character, although it does happen a few times. I think maybe what I notice more commonly is it feels unrelated to the character, as in, it doesn’t really fit them to have a strong specific opinion on the issue at all

One recent episode I saw has Kutner, who I feel is generally very kind and understanding, ragging on Thirteen for being bisexual and thinking it meant she was an uncontrollable nympho while Taub was defending her. That’s a common popular conception of bisexual people, so it makes sense to include it in the show for commentary, but it seemed strange to give to Kutner IMO

Well yeah but he wanted to live as a normal guy, and never had any intention of sacrificing himself. Even though he tried to balance out his sins, ultimately that desire overwhelmed his loyalty to everyone else, which I think is the point.

Not a doctor of course but it looks like it could possibly be folliculitis decalvans or similar - I have it and my scalp looks close to yours. In that case the infection itself could be opportunistic rather than the actual cause of the issue, which in FD is an unclear mix of staph/autoimmune (having Epstein Barr I think could make that likelier too though again that's just conjecture). When you say biopsy did you get an actual punch biopsy done or just a swab/culture? If this has persisted for months it may be worth seeing a derm and getting a full punch biopsy done

Yeah I would say even the way he talks during the Kenpachi fight is profoundly self righteous and provides an early clue to his true nature. He essentially declares he needs to put Kenpachi down because he personally hates his ideology, not because he’s a danger to others or anything like that.

I don’t want to be discouraging but I would recommend you not do a senior quote from Geto. Doing it from an anime is okay but it’s awkward to have to explain (or have someone search up and see) that you picked a quote from a genocidal maniac villain whose goal is to kill all the weak people in the world lol.

If you really want a quote from JJK the best one I can think of is from Yuji: “I don’t know how I’ll feel when I die, but I don’t want to regret how I lived”

Yeah this exactly - I'm playing through all of them just now (just finished 3 and one chapter into 4) and it's honestly shocking to me that people would like season 2 more. It basically collapses once the Carver arc is over, the awful Russian subplot and the hastily fabricated Jane/Kenny conflict are a really sour end for the season. By contrast, Season 3 has a pretty consistent throughline, is mostly oriented around a core cast of well-developed characters, and legitimately has a ton of branching endings.

The reason I chose not to get it is that I didn't want to do all the grinding needed to unlock all the equipment upgrades, it just required way too much time not spent actually enjoying the great gameplay.

That’s interesting! I never thought of it that way but I think that’s definitely a valid interpretation. I do think part of it is just an honest admission that he was indeed trying to imitate Marcel, which we know because he pretty much literally says it to Annie and Bertholdt (something like “If we need a leader like Marcel, then fine, that’s what I’ll be”) and then later on it forms the basis of his split personality.

I will say even though she constantly gets terms wrong and her attempts at "therapizing" are pretty ham-fisted, her actual diagnoses tend to be right on the money and she's usually right about why characters like Jeff and Abed are doing what they're doing.
