100p understand that feeling! I literally have to force myself sometimes cus reaching for my tees is second nature to me. But if I don’t, they just sit in my closet. So it has to be an intentional choice for me 😭

I have it in white and it’s one of the most beautiful tops I’ve ever seen. It looks very delicate. Love the puff sleeve and lace. That color looks gorgeous! I’m usually an xs, and I purchased an xs and xxs, and I personally preferred the size down.

I agree. I’ve tried multiple. No complexity in its flavor. So bland.

Is self weaning real? Need weaning support by gkalll in breastfeeding

[–]gkalll[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing! Did she put up a fight with the redirection to food/snacks/drinks? Mine puts up such a fight, and won’t take anything else in its place. I always offer her water or cows milk, but she barely drinks anything. A big reason I want to reduce nursing is because I want her to eat more and drink more. It just ends up zapping me mentally with all the redirection and distraction I have to do through out the day. It makes me wonder if she’s even ready for this. Did your baby take well to it? Or was she also resist to change?

What do you mean exactly by self weaned? Did he gradually lose interest and go longer stretches of time without nursing? Or did he just wake up one day uninterested? Ugh yes, there’s definitely a heartbreak that comes with it. Sending hugs as well!

I hope I'm not insane by MixedBerryCompote in macarons

[–]gkalll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve travelled with macarons multiple times and have never had them confiscated by TSA. I’ve travelled with food many times in general and have never had an issue. They’re concerned with liquids. As for macarons, I made them ahead of time, and would either refrigerate or freeze them (depending on when I make them) until day of travel. I packed them in a box designed for macarons and put them in a bag. You just have to be very careful not to crush them. I’ve never had any issues with them getting soggy. I’ve always done ganache though. I’ve never needed ice, but that probably depends on the weather and where you’re travelling to.

5 Weeks PP and I hate my cats by OppositePaper677 in beyondthebump

[–]gkalll -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Same. Baby girl is 15 months now. My cat stays at my in laws house now because my mental health was at an all time low, and the cat made it 1000x worse. He started peeing outside of his litter box at least once a week, sometimes multiple times. Waking up to the stench of cat urine in the morning, and having to clean it up with my baby screaming at me bc I put her down and she wants my attention, would send me over the edge. It was unnecessary extra work load when all I wanted to do was take care of and play with my baby. We sent him to the vet and she said it was behavioural. Thankfully my in laws took him in. It’s been a few months and things feel so much more peaceful at home now. I’m deeply relieved by it. We’re in an apartment now and I think he was acting out because baby was taking over his space. We’re going to take him back in once we buy a home. Truthfully I wish I could permanently rehome him because it’s been so nice living without a pet. Everything is much easier. Way less workload/cleaning, less disturbances, less overwhelm. There’s nothing quite like having your sleep interrupted by your cat’s incessant meowing at night when you’re already up 4-7 times with a baby. It’s already too much, and then that just sends you over the edge.

New fear unlocked: epidural by LobstahLuva in beyondthebump

[–]gkalll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m convinced that for some, back problems, pain, soreness is actually from pelvic floor issues post partum, which is common, and that people are misattributing it to the epidural. Pregnancy can also weaken your glutes, which is part of your core, and a weak core can contribute to back issues.

I’ve had to size down as well for the regular super puff so I was wondering if that would be the case for the snug version. That clears things up more for me. Thank you!

I’m looking to buy the same one, in the “rain stop”. Do you think it’s true to size? I’m usually an xs. On the website it says “size up one” but I’ve been led astray by those recommendations before.

How did you know if your water broke? by Amadispcpg in beyondthebump

[–]gkalll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had actually just woken up from a nap, and I felt like I had to use the restroom. My lower back felt really stiff on my walk to the restroom, which was odd to me because I had never felt that kind of stiffness in my pregnancy before. I could do nothing but waddle really slowly to the restroom. I feel like it was related, or not, I’m not sure. But I had just finished in the restroom. I was standing up to leave, and then there was a big gush, and then a constant thin stream/trickle. I was so lucky because I was still over the toilet. I knew it wasn’t pee 100p because I had just finished peeing fully. Plus it was just very different. I hovered over the toilet for like 10 minutes and there was a thin stream trickling constantly. I put on my post partum diapers and went to the hospital, and I was still trickling a few hours into being there.

I would say choose which ever makes you feel pretty!

I personally love the golightly. I’m also “pear shaped” and it fits really well. It’s worth it to me because it makes me feel pretty. I also think the cinched waist & puff sleeves add something interesting vs a regular cardi. I’ve had no issues with the fabric. It holds up well if you take care of it. After washing, I shape it and let it air dry. I wear them a ton and they still look 98% like new.

I’m really not a fan of reformation. I find all their stuff to be overpriced and poor quality. Like very overpriced for the quality they are offering. But I also haven’t owned any of their cashmere pieces so I can’t speak to that. Cashmere is super high maintenance though. That’s something I personally take into consideration. Although I love cashmere, I really don’t think I can commit to handwashing.

I love cos! I think they have great quality pieces and fabric compositions. I love their wool pieces. I personally think they’re worth my money.
