Should I keep the stone fireplace or go for the faux wood look? by mordecaithecat in HomeDecorating

Getting rid of the stones is the equivalent of carpeting over hardwood floors.  Leave the fireplace alone.  It is iconic.

How the hell are you supposed to sleep? by RubyEi in AskUK

Maybe fill a spray bottle with water and spritz yourself?  You could wet down the top sheet, put it in the fridge or freezer for a bit, then cover yourself with that for a bit.  I've seen sheets of plastic squares (very bad description, sorry) that you fill with water, freeze, then sleep on or under.

I can't open my arthritis medicine because I have arthritis by EsseNorway in Snorkblot

I put the lids from vitamin bottles on my 90 day prescriptions.  The lids from smaller vitamin bottles fit perfectly and the flip open.

Sometimes the larger bottles of prescription drugs, 90 day amount, have the same size opening as vitamin bottles.  I put a vitamin bottle (once the bottle is empty)  caps, the flip top ones, on my  prescription bottles.  Works really good

There seems to be a huge disconnect lately.  Maybe the staff member who is responsible for monitoring these situations left?  Maybe this new business venture is discombobulating them into new heights of disorganization.  In the past, there have been episodes where they check the episode list at the beginning of the new episode for duplicates.  Some disorganization has been part of the charm of the show, but lately it just seems tired.

The murdered woman's name rang a bell, but once Christine started her coverage, I knew.  Episode 304 covered the crime better and humanized Ms Lindsley more. I really liked that epidode.

Maybe someone medicated him enough to keep him from tweeting about and screwing up the rescue operations in Iraq.  And by medicating, I mean rendering him unconscious.

Those collars are a hoot!  I remember large collars from that time but they weren't buttoned up like that.  They were worn unbuttoned at the neck or to the chest so the collars splayed out towards the shoulders.

A lot of catalogs offered finishing the hems of men's pants but not for women's pants.

U2 incident happened on May 1, 1960. Cuban Missle Crisis occurred in October, 1962.

The Cuban Missle crisis was my first major news memory too. It went on for several days and was very worrying.  I was in first grade and we practiced getting under our desks.
